I just watched SAW V last night.

And i am sorry i did, i have no idea how they fucked up a franchise that was pretty fucking awesome. After 4 great movies they throw this bucket of shit at us. First of all no"Game Over" in the end??????, you have got to be fucking kidding me!!!!. And dont get me started about plot holes, (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!) for one, Jigsaw is a mechanical engineer (as i am), so he can design and build these really awesome traps, but how the hell did the detective design and build the trap that we see at the beginning of the movie???, They dont teach that at cop school!!!!. I hope SAW VI makes up for it, if not, it would be like great franchise murder. Fuckers!!!!.

Should have ended after 3. There was no point to continue after that. I didn't even bother with 4 and havent seen 5. Talk about running a franchise into the ground. I got over this torture faze. They released to many of these movies together. Time to start a new one.

This has to be a record for a series of movies that went from HIT to SHIT, I mean name another movie series that have shot out flick after flick for 5 plus years in a row. Eveybody cries about the ecomomy but yet somehow morons keep finding ways for movies like this getting made. If people stopped paying towatching trash like this then they would stop this train wreck.

I would like to see something come out like John Carpenter originally intended with Halloween. Every year a different idea (horror) under the same name (if it works the 1st time of course) like a Tales From The Darkside series. Only this would be once a year (every Halloween) with a big budget.

They played the whole Jigsaw thing out going 5 times with SAW.

I never loved any of them, 1 was meh, 2 was ok, 3 was blegh, and I never saw (heh heh) the others.

The only thing I appreciate Saw for was helping Hollywood to realize horror is a money making machine and should be taken seriously.

I liked 1,2,5 and hated 3 and 4. Well I guess if you are going by the traps and kills 5 did suck. I liked how they filled you in on things from the past. The whys and hows.

As far as i Know. Shortly after the opening of Saw Tobin Bell signed on for 5 sequels, making 6 movies. James Wan, Leigh Whannell, and DLB, all had the story for 1-3 in mind already, the 4th one was an off the top of the head idea from the Dudes who wrote Feast that was not originally supposed to be aprt of the Franchise, hence the mediocre story and it being extremely convoluted. Saw 5....I think they were trying to bring it back to the Roots of Saw 1, by subtracting a lot of the gore and making it more suspense oriented. Yes, they failed, but The entire team has had the story and ending for for the franchise in mind for 5 years. Since the beginning they knew they were gonna end it after 6 and end it a certain way. I'm thinking the Founding Fathers of Jigsaw (DLB, Wan, and Whannell) came up with a great ending to rival them all and redeem the franchise, But hopefully end it also.

Series started off great, then slowly declined as it went on. Saw's 1 & 2 were great movies, definitely the best two in the series. Saw 3 wasn't as good but still somewhat decent, and Saw 4 was just total crap. Still haven't seen Saw 5 yet and probably never will unless I'm bored and I happen to catch it on cable.
