It is not too often that a movie bothers me. This one did and so did "Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer." I guess it is the realism and methodical torture that gets to me.

Not that it matters, but was it the remake or original? I've only seen the original and since the remake is shot-for-shot, I figured I didn't need to see the remake.

Just saw the remake on cable...yeah it is pretty good. Torture and pain is always fun to watch.

I liked the original. Disturbing in all the right places.

You basically saw it when you saw the remake. As I said above, it's a shot-for-shot remake :shrugs:

Ah...I see, the first was Austrian. I pulled up a small clip..you are correct. Same scenes. You are so smart...you should run a horror movie web site of some sorts. :thumbup3:

I have never seen the original but Im sure I will check it out because I really did enjoy the remake. Even if it is shot for shot.

I agree with what Sic said too, it was disturbing in all the right places. Some twisted shit.

One particular scene I found disturbing.

The scene with the awkward silence (besides the TV running in the background) and no movement after the killers leave. To me, it gave me a feeling as if I were a child hearing this from another room and walking into the aftermath. Sure, it was a long scene, but you can't help but fill kinda out of place during that, at least for me.

it was pretty goood....kinda boring at times but that was probably done to make it more realistic

If it's anything like Henry as far as atmosphere I'll fucking love this. It was in the top 10 films of 2008 in one of the entertainment mags my mom leaves in the washroom lol.

I understand what you mean. I think the fact it was so long gave you time to take it all in and really think about what had happened. I also liked that I didn't read or hear what this movie was about before I saw it. Kinda made it creepier for me.

I found it, not as disturbing as most. The slow pace bothers me in the beginning..but its fine. I like how they play with them, especially the "hot and cold" game. :P Poor dog overall it was fun to the end..and in my opinon could have been longer. ^^ And as for Henry:portrait of a serial killer-love it :thumbup3:

Could have been better, scenes dragged way longer then they should have.

One of the few films I nearly shut off halfway through.
