Well hello UHM, I'm back with you all again, talking about: EDEN LAKE

Fright wrote a review on this movie a while back on this film, but he didn't like the movie but the realistic and dark tone and approach that it took. Well I recently watched the movie and some of you may disagree but I loved it.

I'm not going to go all into the synopsis and everything because it's already been done, this is more positive look at the film type of thing that I am writing. Now I have to agree that it was very realistic, who's parent wouldn't believe their childs word over someone else's. Though some of the characters were aggravting as hell, especially the lead, they really got it honest, I'm mean look at what the kids parents did to the woman at the end and if you noticed something the parents did seem kind of abusive.

But the biggest fault I had with the film was it's stupidness. As fright said, they had plenty of time to realize that the town was no good, especially after telling someone's parent that there child is harassing you and they tell you "not mine", which is very normal. Then after being harrassed you go back to the same spot and camp out again, which then you figure that these people are asking to die, which this wouldn't happen in reality. Then I wanted the lead guy to die, but the bastard live. I felt that all of these kids should have died, especially after burning two people to death and stomping the hell out of another one.

But as I said before I loved this film, because it is so true and real to a point where I couldn't say I disliked it after watching it, I feel i love with it.

So I give it a point higher than frights, which would be a 7, because the movie was real and nerving but stupid. Just so you know, I wouldn't ask for a sequel unless everyone dies.

Although you seemed to like it more than me, it seems our views are generally the same, which is :faint:

The ending still freaks me out. I didn't like it.

Loved it, I appear to be the only one of this board, but it had me on the edge of my seat, the entire movie, most movies can't do that to me.

Add on, the very real nature of this film. There are all sorts of individuals like this in our real world and I always have it in the back of my mind when I go to the back woods and such.
