View Full Version : Video Games & DVDs For Sale on New Site
I'm selling some of my games and dvds on a site I built with some friends. We got tired of dealing with online auctions and getting ripped off at the local "GameStore" so we built a place where you can list a game or a DVD (or even a book or CD) for sale in under 10 seconds. It's called Glyde.com. Click here (http://glyde.com/collections/stanton#display_as=2&sort_by=status&vert=my%20catalog&sort_dir=1&l_id=65230) to see my stuff for sale. Everything on the first page and up to "2006 FIFA World Cup" on the second page are for sale, even though it may not say so underneath. If you see something you like, you can click on it buy directly from there.
The prices are good and fair and all items are in great condition. The platforms for the games are Xbox 360, Xbox, PS3, PSP, and Wii and the DVDs are a mix of genres.
If you don't want to buy anything, I'd love to have you check it out and poke around anyway. It's new, so I'm very open to feedback and suggestions. I'd also love to have you try listing something for sale. We've worked incredibly hard to make listing items ridiculously easy. You too can then have a virtual storefront like mine.
Also, there is no listing fee and only a small charge when your item sells. If you sign up (https://glyde.com/invitee_sessions/new#type=invite) using the code "UHM", I'll rebate that charge for your first sale.
Hope to hear from you. And actually, if you don't want to try Glyde out, please please tell me why.
Thanks!

Nev-ver. Well, not until I get the Blu-ray version. :thumbup3:

Yep. All come with instructions and such.

Rock on! Well, I also use Glyde as a way to keep track of and share all my stuff, not just the ones for sale. Do you suppose it would be helpful to have something to designate the ones for sale?

word...i thought everything was fro sale..all though there are prices under the "for sale" items, some people could get confused
Okay, I rearranged it a bit: glyde.com/collections/stanton (http://glyde.com/collections/stanton#display_as=2&sort_by=status&vert=my%20catalog&sort_dir=1&l_id=65230). Thanks strtfghtr. It is really new, actually. We spent a lot of time working on it and now we're ready to have other people try it out too. Feel free to poke around a bit. Use the code "UHM" at the home page (https://glyde.com/invitee_sessions/new#type=invite) too.

you guys are doing good work...now i just need dvdaf to output all my UPCs easily...stupid thing isnt an option yet
I have an idea. I'll personally buy something from the first 10 people who list a few DVDs, Video Games, CDs, or Books for sale. If you haven't already, just go to glyde.com (https://glyde.com/invitee_sessions/new#type=invite) and use the code "UHM". I just want people to see how much easier it is to sell something on Glyde than anywhere else online. Assuming it's not extremely expensive, I'll be more than happy to buy stuff so that happens. Just PM me your username.
Thanks for the feedback already and thanks to the people already signed up.

Solid Tbagz. List a few for sale if you want and I'll buy one from you. Just let me know the link to your collection and I can buy it from there. It'll look something like this: "http://glyde.com/collections/tbagz" where 'tbagz' is your Glyde username.
Cool.
 its not tbagz!
Sorry dude! I didn't know what it was, so I just guessed as an example. :shrugs:

I entered some of my dvd's to see how easy it was, it is a nice interface, but about 50% of the dvds I own weren't available to choose from. Is it only for R1 movies???
Also I guess I have a hard time putting in my credit card number in a site that i have never heard of and doesn't seem to have any fraud safety features. Good luck though. I will keep on checking it out.

Yeah, for the time being, it's for region 1 only.

We do. We have the same hi-end encryption and fraud safeguards of any major site and we take it very seriously. It does need to be more explicit on the site though, I agree. I'll work on that.
Good luck though. I will keep on checking it out.
Thanks and please do! Feedback is always welcome, be it good, bad, or ugly.
