I saw this yesterday. This is a good movie, but to me it's one of those movies that it's kind of hard to watch, not that it's boring or slow paced or complicated, none of that, but it's filled with those scenes that kind of make u want to turn ur head. It's a great watch, you've got a lot of stuff going on here, jungle minor surgery, medieval mutilation, good gore, and one of the creepiest athmosphere i have seen recently. Kuddos to the director. As for the story, cant say much without giving away the interesting part of the movie, because half of it it's about trying to figure out what the hell is going on. In the end, a great rent. GO WATCH IT BITCH, 6,5/10 hands down.

I went into it with a bias against it from reviews I had read, but it turned out to be a pretty decent movie. A bit more backstory would have been nice, but the unknown factor worked quite well.

Loved this one...thought it was one of the best horror movies of 08. Thought it deserved to do better at the box office than it did...why did no one go see this at the theaters?

Bad advertising. Saw maybe three trailers on TV for it, no posters in our theaters that I noticed. Everything else was online marketing it seemed.

As for the movie I liked it, but the book was way better (which is normal).

Indeed it was a great film and i was not expecting much when i rented it. Don't know how much better the novel is but i thought the movie was great. The surgery scene was by far one of the best scenes i have seen lately in a horror movie.

Kept my interest but I got bored at points.
The flower's mimics were pretty interesting.

It could have been better, I didn't like the way it switched around the deaths and changed the ending from what was written in the novel. The book was much better - a great read.
