When the two genres crossover it it a fine line between success and failure. My top three:

1. Evil Dead 2
2. Shaun of the Dead
3. Dead Alive

But here's what get me, All these movies have zombies in them. Vampire comedies have thus far been duds

1. Vampire in Brooklyn
2. Once Bitten

I've only really liked Shaun of the Dead. Horror comedies aren't my favorite.

:takeshots:Fido.....not funny enough to be comedy.....not scary enough to be horror....but an awesome flick. Shaun of the Dead was great.....and now I'm drawing a blank. Too much beer. MCL.

Beetlejuice is probably up there. And I'm going to have to throw all the Scary Movies in the crap pile, with an exception for Scary Movie 2; the David Cross and Chris Elliot Characters made that movie.

I'm a huge fan of horror comedy but it would take ages for me to list.
Pretty much a bunch of splatters, Troma, zombie comedies like Undead, Shaun of the Dead, Special Dead, etc.

I never considered Street Trash to be a horror movie. It's more of an offbeat cult comedy in my opinion.

Terrorvision is also a fun horror-comedy if you guys haven't seen it. One of my favorite flicks for sure.

Gonna have to agree with all the Shaun of the Dead fans. That movie was pretty awesome. Mostly cause Simon Pegg and Nick Frost could make anything funny when they work together.
My other favorite is Idle Hands. Admittadly my initial reason for watching/liking that movie was entirely becasue of my jr. high crush on Devon Sawa, but I've gone back to watch it since and it's actually a really good horror comedy in itself.

I know the later installments of the Child's Play series were clearly meant to be comedy horror movies, but I don't think the first one should count because it wasn't nearly as funny as the rest.

When RedMan and John Waters are in your movie, it is clearly a comedy.

Horror comedies are only good when they're done right. I'm pretty open when it comes to this subgenre, especially when its films coming out of the UK and New Zealand. :D
