When you go into a Friday the 13th movie you really can’t expect anything other then what it will be, a bunch of horny stoned teenagers wandering a bit too far into the woods surrounding Crystal Lake only to be slaughtered by our hockey mask wearing friend. Based on this you can usually expect a fun time. Does the remake deliver?

As a Friday film, the reboot hardly stands out. It's a fun theater experience. People who were around in Jason's heyday will feel a rush of nostalgia while viewing the film. The opening scene is very reminiscent of the first film while the majority of the film can be compared to parts 2-4.

The kills in this movie are good enough. There is never a real stand out moment though. The gore is great and the body count is respectable. The T&A is what can be expected from a movie like this. The sex scenes we see on screen will defiantly keep the hounds at bay.

All in all the film is a very good addition to the franchise. It has all the fin of the original films, only modernized for today’s picky teenage audience. I recommend checking it out in theaters.

Nice review. I am really excited to see this film, however, I will be waiting until next weekend to see it. I am visiting a friend out of town and we saw the Halloween remake together so we said we would see this together. It is going to be tough not going to this. Friday the 13th is probably my favorite series of all time.

I just watched it and i can't say much on the negative. Jason was just a brutal killing machine, slaughtering anyone who got close to his territory. I'm given it a 9. People put too much stock into the pot field, it was just a backdrop, the real story is the search for his sister and in the unrelenting hatred Jason has for all of humanity.

great movie. I just got the DVD. I'm pissed off about the special features though. Unless you've got blu-ray it doesn't have shit. The movie itsself is great though. Jason is absolutly brutal. I really wish they had went with the deleted version of how he got his mask though. That was great. The kill under the doc cracks me up everytime. And I swear they still added stuff to the DVD. There were things I dont remember seeing in the theater. I've heard the rumors about the sequal. Not that its impossible to have someone else play Jason, but I hope Derek comes back.

The look of Jason was the only good thing about this movie. It had zero creativity and nothing memorable happened. I wish i could go into more detail but it's very simple...it sucks.

Yeah i guess that part was kind of cool...but come on! The movie just wasn't that great. Maybe my hopes were too high.

A crap stupid waste of time(my opinion)!
I was expecting a bit more about F13 and i'm really disapointed to see what they gave to us.
Too much sex not enouth killing and blood. Jason is not scary enought.
