Fact is, dumb woman shouldn't have, first of all, been smoking pot in front of her kid. Unlike you and her, some people want to be clean, and yes, there is such a thing of second hand smoke. She may not have been smoking the pot herself, but she could just as easy feel the effects of it from the smoke. The fact that this woman decided to smoke pot in front of her kids was pure stupidity.

Where did I say pot was reckless? I said I was reckless. Please read correctly and respond correctly to what I'm actually saying, rather than what you want me to say.

And yes, I did use to smoke pot. For about a span of a year to a year and a half.

And now you're just adding on to the conversation, acting like that's always been there. Ventilation; yeah, if there was ventilation, then that would definitely help, but in this situation, it didn't say there was any, so I didn't take that into the equation.

And as you say, I'm also for a child getting spanked. Some kids need it when they act up, otherwise they'll think it's okay to do whatever they want, however, when I say abuse, I mean actually hitting the kid close fisted. There's a big difference in that.

Anyway, in the end, you have your opinion, I have my opinion. Not saying I think pot is bad, I'm just saying I believe if a person is going to smoke pot, they should do it away from their children.

The whole point of this post isn't whether you should smoke pot in front of your kid[s], so much as it is about how your kid should react because it's you who is technically breaking a law in front of them.

Allowing your kids (or indeed anyone) to passively consume your smoke (whether it's hash or tobacco) can be, as we all know, exceptionally harmful to their health. I know a great many parents- myself for one- who don't smoke in front of the kids, especially in the home. I see no reason why the same guidelines shouldn't apply to spliffs too; it's your choice to smoke, but at the very least you shouldn't be doing it around your kids.
