Looks aight, but not sure if it could be considered "Anime" though, but I'll leave it anyway since this Forum doesn't get much activity :ahheh:

Cant wait to see it added in the Watchmen DVD :rocker:Really hope they don't try to intercut the two. A plot device that works well on the comics page doesn't necessarily translate all that well to film.

dude made a good point on attack of the show the other day. Even if the movie doesnt make its money back in theaters, it will with the 20 different dvd releases it will get. The black freighter being added will be 1 of those versions im sure. They'll probably have an ultimate edition with the comic in motion added as well.

I just watch it and I wish it was longer. It was only 25 mins long, but it was awesome.

This wasn't really anime, but it was damn good supplement to Watchmen. Genuinely creepy and kept the feel of the graphic novel.

Hmmm, sounds like I'll have to watch this. I hated the Black Freighter in the comic. I mean, I got what it meant, but it really interrupted the flow of the story for me, and was kind of boring to read...but it seems the film version is being pretty well received.
Anyone watch the bonus Under the Hood Documentary that comes with it yet? If so, how was that?

Eh. The "Shipwrecked" segment was exactly what I thought it was. Something that would be entertaining, but not as good without mirroring the ongoing story of the heroes. I enjoyed the "Under the Hood" segment much more. The interviews, the clever foreshadowing, the tone, even the commercials were great. Loved that Seiko ad. :mhehe:
7/10 for the whole kit and kaboodle.
