20 bucks is about the standard for a 27 x 40 official size poster. You can also find some for 15 bucks or so on Ebay if you can handle dealing with that.

I've gotten 2 of the 3 I have off Ebay and have only paid 13 and 15 bucks shipped.

Original posters can sell for 100s of dollars, I have quite a few one sheets myself and re-prints are just as good of a quality but the only draw back is they are not suitable for backlit displays...but those displays cost so much money you might as well put an original in.

Besides many of the reprints available on that site you cant get anywhere else.

You can buy custom 27" X 41" frames on eBay for about $40. Also, originals are better because unlike reproductions, the longer you hold onto them the more value they gain. It's a small investment that often pays for itself two-fold, or more, in the future. I bought a Halloween "blue ratings box" one sheet for $80 about 5 years ago and resold it last year for $275. Do you think your reproductions will ever do the same for you?

Right now, if you buy an original Halloween one sheet (non-blue ratings box) for, say, $100 (which is about how much it regularly sells for right now on eBay), you will most definitely be able to turn around and resell that for at least $200 in about five years (or less). That's IF you decide to sell it...I have original Halloween on display right now in an aforementioned frame in my bedroom and it looks fantastic. The paper stock is much heavier on original one sheets and the ink is much more rich.

My point is, if you're going to buy a poster, if you can afford it, try to be patient and find an original on eBay. It may take months, but you'll get your deal, and years down the road, when you realize you just don't want the poster anymore, you can sell if for much more than what you spent on it. Unlike reproductions, buying original one sheets has short term and long term benefits.

Edit: I should say, buy original one sheets for movies you LOVE. For things you just want to have display in a random spot (like you said in your bathroom), then yes, a reproduction may be the way to go. But if what you're displaying is a centerpiece to your living area, I strongly advise people to invest in an original one sheet. The quality and resell value is just too good.

The creases don't bother me; they add to the one sheet's charm, IMO.

Actually, if you really want to get rid of them, you can just get the poster linen backed, which not only reduces the acidity within the one sheet (and thus further preserving it) but it all but eliminates the fold lines. You'll still see them if you look really close, but for the most part they disappear.

That said, I don't linen back my posters, but many people do.
