I've noticed earlier while under the full page mode of the Chatbox that I ran into lag issues a lot less. I came to the conclusion that using it under the smaller more minimized version on the forum homepage that it will lag more often (likely due to more items on the page being loaded along with it).
I suggest that if you're running into some chat-lagging issues to view it in full page mode. You can do it by clicking the link Chatbox at the top of the board, or simply clicking the announcement I have posted above the Chatbox itself. You can also click the arrow-looking thing on the right side of the buttons in the Chatbox.
If you still get lag or suspect your chat froze, then refresh the entire page. I'd also recommend clearing your browser's cache. You can find that under Tools with whatever browser your using. Explore it and you'll fun into something that says to clear your cookies or cache, data, or what-not. :thumbup3:
NOTE: Keep in mind that the chat refreshes every 3 seconds, so sometimes after you enter your text that it may not show up immediately. This was originally set at 15 seconds, but I changed it after chat became so popular. I may eventually bring it down to 1 or 2 seconds, but depends on the bandwidth situation.
