Figured it was time to dedicate a thread to the true Grindhouse films. That's right, the Grindhouse theaters were original dedicated to playing smutty x-rated pictures to purveyors of the perverse. Movies that often featured themes of degradation, humiliation, and the destruction of innocence. Movies that'll make you feel the need to take a shower in an attempt to wash away the dirt, even though no shower will keep you from feeling like any less of a scumbag after watching movies that exploits hardcore-explicit rape scenes.

I think it's safe to say the most well known title of the bunch would probably have to be Forced Entry with Harry Reems.

Part slasher film and part adult cinema, it certainly must have shocked contemporary audiences and still continues to pack a powerful punch today. Recently released from duty, a deranged Vietnam vet (Harry Reems of Deep Throat) - brings the carnage home with him and declares war on New York City s female population. The no-name loner finds work at a one-pump gas station, where he is able to obtain information on customers that pay by credit card. Armed with his intended victims addresses, along with his trusty gun and knife and the sounds of a distant jungle battle screaming in his brain, the homicidal maniac forces his way into the homes of innocent young women...to act out his most violent psychosexual impulses.

A highlight moment in this piece of trash is when Harry gets done anal-raping one of his victims; he proceeds to scream, "You got shit on my dick!" Then "punishes" the woman.


Not to be out done, Jamie Gillis starred in a rather unusual rape-flick where the madman is looking to force his victims to endure enemas. Yes, an enema-rapist. A widely popular title amongst roughie-aficionados, and is consider to be one of the naistest and harshest ones in the bunch.

I'd recommend Forced Entry as a starting point. While it is a nasty flick it is still a decent watch.

"Jamie Gillis and friends break in on two snowbunnies and of course, the gang has their way with the cuties. But it doesnt take long to convince the girls that all of this is fun. Top this off with the fact that gillis verbally and physically abuses the girls and youre all set for a good time one scene has gillis hitting a girl with a spoonful of oatmeal while in another scene he threatens to punch the girls face in and knock out all of her teeth."

Sorry about the horrible synopsis but it's the best I could find. One of the first roughies I saw and quite frankly is pretty tame. Not that it doesn't try to be shocking, it's just hard to take it seriously when the girls who are suppose to be getting tortured and humiliated by scumbags, are giggling and smirking. Then again, how can you when it's idea of humiliation is having a girl get oatmeal smeared on her cooch?

Good for starting into the roughie films or if you just want a laugh.

One of the cheapest, nastiest, creepiest, most disreputable little grindhouse flicks ever to make its way onto film reels. Sexist, racist, moronically simple yet weirdly entertaining, it is probably one of the most disturbing slasher prototypes of the pre-Halloween era, a potent blend of bad taste, sadistic violence, and sex. Three hippie chicks and a dude are hiking in the woods. Two of the chicks pair off and wander into a clearing. A lesbian encounter ensues, but the dykes find themselves confronted by a cackling nut-job sporting a yellow ski mask and brandishing a two-foot machete. Barking out orders in a Southern accent, he soon has the four hikers performing his sexual bidding with the threat of his machete looming.

"Wet Wilderness. Made in 1975, this notorious adult film is possibly the most down-right sadistic, twisted piece of filth you could ever force your eyes to watch. It has obviously been neglected over the years due to the subject matter that is portrayed on screen and I'm not surprised. You will question yourself on whether it is worth watching this feature film as the graphic machete killings, gore, forced incest, racism, rape and other shocking acts of terror are graphically shown before your eyes. However, it is worth making it to the end of the film, just so that you can wonder why a film of this kind was actually made and then shown in adult cinemas back in the 70's. This is the first ever official release of Wet Wilderness and will most likely be the last. If you want a really depraved film added to your horror collection then pick this up now. I remember seeing screen shots of Wet Wilderness on Video Dungeon and Bizarro Video a few years ago. It seemed so rough and evil that all I could thing of was what would it be like to watch this film in my own home, knowing that is was sick? And on that Friday night, sometime last year, I eventually got to know. It did exactly what I imagined it would do: made me feel cheap and dirty."


Wonder if Tinypic is going to delete this cover...Not sure what to say about this one. Yeah the incest sex setups are rather disgusting and the movie in general is really fucking dirty, but I couldn't help but see it as being more cheesy than shocking. During the actual sex scene, the people being forced to perform don't really seem to object all that much. Though you do get plenty of poorly acted scenes before and after the sex. Not to mention the death scenes aren't shocking or gory, maybe for this kind of flick it is but in general...It's nothing special. About the only thing I found shocking were the lesbians at the beginning of the movie with their hairy arm pits. :freaked:

Like I said though it's not so much shocking as it is just a flat out dirty piece of trash cinema, so if that's what you're looking for then go for it.

Come Deadly

A group of young thespians practice for the production of Shakespeare play. Meanwhile, in the loft above the theater, a psycho in a wide-brimmed hat with a nylon stocking over his face attacks one of the actresses, raping and strangling her. In the hopes of getting to the bottom of this and other recent attacks, a police detective goes undercover as an actor in the company. He quickly befriends his two leading ladies and winds up pumping each for more than information while the backstage stalker continues his reign of terror, molesting and strangling female ingénues.

I haven't seen Come Deadly myself, so here is a review I found.

Why is it that people who don't enjoy the more rough genre, often need to add that it doesn't shock them? :D

Because people still use movies as a way to prove how "hardcore" they are.

So they add the comment, "Not that these movies will shock me." When they say that they don't want to watch the movie, to help keep their fortitude from being questioned. Instead of simply saying, "Thanks, but no thanks. I don't want to watch perverted-trash."
