Doing a presentation on subliminal perception/messages

Doing a presentation tomorrow in my Psych class tomorrow on movies and media that use subliminal messaging/perception. Wanna ask some of you guys:

Do you guys think that subliminal messaging has any effect on people? And what movies (any kind of genre) have you seen that use such hidden messages?

I dunno. A lot of the well-known stuff are merely urban myths. Like reversed song lyrics? I don't think any of that is intentional. :sure:

"The Lion King" has one. I spotted it too, sorta. In the scene where Simba slumps down and collapses on that little platform and sends debris into the night air, it apparently spells out the word 'sex' very briefly. VERY briefly.

One I heard that was kinda more believable was something Coca Cola supposedly practiced a few decades ago. Allegedly, there was a time when their soda bottles had very faint outlines of curvy women on them. And when you put the bottle in the fridge or something and took it out when it was cold, you would be able to see her outline along the frosted glass.

I don't really watch commercials, but i have noticed a lot of subliminal messages mostly in ads for restaurants and weight loss. :hmmm:

Went today for my presentation, didn't even get enough time to do it because so many people went. Instead of getting 5 minutes, I'm the only one that got 3 minutes and 45 secs since class was almost done, not mad about, but kinda feel incomplete in not getting everything through.

Sucked a lot because I didn't get to say everything about hidden messages and didn't get to use Fight Club as an example for subliminal messages. Sucks, but she already knew I wasn't going to finish on time, so I hope I get the pass. She is a cool teacher, but it's gonna be a massacre on thursday, 15+ people are going and the class is only an hour and 25 minutes long. 35 people are in the class, only 8 went today (including me), 5 minutes each, you do the math lol.

Is your presentations your final? Because if so you are one lucky funker lol. We just did this presentation and have the final next week. Wish I did the presentation earlier, we all could've, but we all waited until the last minute lol.
