Jesus Tity Fucking christ that was a long Embed code.
But the video shows the new excuse to ban Gay Marriage, and it's even dumber then because it's against gods will. This is why I watch the Daily Show for all my news.

Wow.
"Homosexuals aren't lesser people. Unlike Republicans."
The small business claim is stupid. It's grasping at straws. As much as I disagree with John Daily's views, he brought a very sound and rational perspective to the issue: hire the undatable.
Greeting blind intolerance with more blind intolerance is only feeding the cycle, however.

The argument definitley makes no sense and is grasping at straws. With this argument, regular marriage is bad too! Fucking intolerance and fear.

It's a fucking hypocricy it's about bigotry plain and simple if
it were about the sanctity of marriage they would campaign
against divorce and adultury. It makes me ashamed to call myself a christian. A religon that claims to teach peace and
tolerance and when it comes to love they can only tell us it's evil. They have as much right to be together as any loving couple does.

Yeah Aurone. You got me. It's been about 5 years since I watched the show -- I was there for the Kilborn / 5 Questions days, though. :elder:
Anyway -- from CNN: ( Link (http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/11/02/ballot.samesex.marriage/index.html) )
Voters in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon and Utah all approved anti-same-sex marriage amendments by double-digit margins.
The closest race came in Oregon, where gay rights groups concentrated much of their effort and money and thought they had the best chance of winning. Opponents of the amendment raised about $2.8 million, enough to run TV and radio ads in the Beaver State and outspend pro-amendment forces, according to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.
Yet, in the end, the amendment passed by a margin of 57 percent to 43 percent.
In the remaining states, the amendments passed with 60 percent of the vote or more, with the margin at a whopping 86 percent in Mississippi.
All of those states except Oregon were over 60% against gay marriage.
Arkansas: 54% Bush, 75% against gay marriage
Georgia was 58% Bush, 76% against gay marriage
Kentucky was 60% Bush, 75% against gay marriage
Michigan - 48% Bush, 59% against gay marriage
Mississippi - 60% Bush, 86% against gay marriage
Montana - 59% Bush, 67% against gay marriage
North Dakota - 63% Bush, 73% against gay marriage.
Ohio - 51% Bush, 62% against gay marriage.
Oklahoma - 66% Bush, 76% against gay marriage
Oregon - 48% Bush, 57% against gay marriage
Utah - Bless those crazy bastards - 72% Bush, 66% against gay marriage.
Source (http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/ballot.measures/) -- check 'em one state at a time.
In all cases except Utah, the Blue voters were jumping across the party line to put the beatdown on gay marriage. Meanwhile, pro-Bush voters in Utah (where non-traditional marriage is part of their history) seem to have jumped the fence in favor of at least not banning same-sex marriage.
You also have to factor in Catholics voting blue and Ron Paul style libertarians (small L) voting red.
Thing is, I'm all for gay marriage so long as all rights and responsibilities mirror current marriage laws exactly. My complaint, then, is that blaming those other people is only misrepresenting the problem. Not only should a real solution be focused on, but that real solution will need real facts. Two states could have at least not banned gay marriages if it was a simple matter of "red" vs "blue."
Also - why would Bush voters in Utah still at least not want gay marriage banned? At lest 1 in 12 Bush voters (probably more) voted to oppose a ban on gay marriage. Maybe they have something to say that other right wing voters would listen to.
I'll counter the gay marriage issue with more than just "hire ugly people." STDs aren't good for attendance or long-term retention of trained employees either. And yes, I've had to "fill in" for more than one co-worker who could not be present due to some nasty bug or another.
Everyone else has to work harder and the guy witch the rash gets a day's sick pay to visit the clinic.
Marriage tends to severely limit the transmission of these illnesses, which in turn is good for human resources and good for the bottom line.

It's hard to put your finger on constituency to label them either us or them since they bounce so cavalierly across the spectrum.
But I sure as hell can call the republican party out for what they are since its a part of their platform to be openly anti gay. Even when they try to euphemize their intentions their actions are really what defines them.
