I think this might be a hard one, but it's been killing me for years

I saw this zombie movie (i think it was zombie) when I was real young (but I'm 14 so its not from that long ago) on television (scifi channel) and i only watched about five minutes of the movie, because I was switching back and forth from another channel. I barely remember it, so it's fairly possible that no one will get this, but I remember there were a few characters possibly in an underground rock tunnel. It must have been somewhere near the end of the movie. There was a woman and her love interest and probably another person or two. The woman had red hair and she was hurt (bitten or something). She was complaining about not being able to continue and how she was losing control. The boyfriend wouldn't allow her to stop fighting and wouldn't leave her behind, and at some point she became a zombie or possessed or whatever the bite was supposed to do happened. She might have fought it off at one point but I'm almost positive she succumbed to the control, however she didn't attack her boyfriend from what I remember. I really doubt this is enough information but I decided to give it a shot. I believe it's a zombie movie because it was scifi channel's weekend of zombie movie marathons. I'm guessing 90's or early 00's. Idk, good luck!

Yea i just watched a clip from that trying to figure it out and it actually started ringing some bells. I'm gonna check the film out but I'm almost positive that is it. I obviously had the plot details wrong but I watched the movie (in part) when I was like five so...what are you gonna do? Thanks guys!

The funny thing is, when I last tried to find this movie, I was searching netflix and saw the pic on return of the living dead 5, which had this red-haired chick on all fours, and stupidly rented it without looking into the movie itself. It ended up being a pretty shitty movie, but I never realized after watching it that I was within the right franchise.
