Ripoff films are awesome.

Maybe next time the filmmakers will do a movie about a killer ventriloquist dummy, or a mutant turkey, anything that's as original as this. :sure:

The Gateway Meat
Night of the Hell Hamsters
Special Dead
ZombieWestern: It Came From The West
Fetus

Plenty of others.

But going by what you're saying, because other ripoff films exist, it's ok for Treevenge to be a ripoff? :sure:

Goddamn you're pathetic.

You told me what's not a ripoff these days, and I listed a couple movies. I didn't realize there was a specific amount that needed to be listed to meet your satisfaction. I was never making "a point" so I'm not sure what exactly I was suppose to prove to you. Treevenge is a ripoff film since Trees 2 did the killer Christmas tree bit several years earlier, that's it. That was my point.

Not sure what your problem is, I'm assuming it's because I'm not gushing all over "amazing" Treevenge like everyone else. Feel free to go play this stupid game with someone else, since I really don't have any desire to continue on with your nonsense.

There's not a specific amount you had to say, but I would think you could name more then 5? You do realize that everything comes from somewhere. Your Zombie Western hand puppet movie could have been thought up by the makers seeing "The Quick and the Undead" and just decided to use puppets. Ideas come from anywhere.

And yes you should know what my problem is. When people bash a movie without seeing it, they are very ignorant.

If I would have named more than five, you would have come back and told me to name only ones from this year or last year. The fact remains I was able to answer your question, and you would have kept switching it around to make sure you were right and I was wrong.

At no point did I bash the movie, I mocked it and called it what it is. Considering there is only one other horror movie that involves killer Christmas trees, the chance of it being coincidence is rather unlikely.

But next time I'll be sure to have my opinion be the same as the majority of other people, to make sure I don't offend anyone again. Since clearly that's what started this whole ridiculous mess.

What's funny is that you became defensive about what I said BEFORE you knew that I had not seen the movie, so your whole reasoning about coming after me is ridiculous and just further proving your mad because I'm not praising the movie.

Besides, I'm sure you have never-ever bashed a movie without seeing it first. :shifty:

I wouldn't call my post defensive. Just a a simple question on saying what films are a ripoff. Then a few posts later someone asked you if you have seen it and you said no.

And no, I don't bash movies before I see them, I'm not a douche bag.

Be gone? Get out of the 12th century. If you don't like what I have to say then stop responding.

Maybe you can stop responding and go watch Treevenge to make an actual opinion of the film.

I have to say, that was a good, fucking awesome, funny, over the top, gorifying, horror gem I've seen in a while! Kudos for the guys who made the movie, it was very well worth its effort, the theme song I thought was a bit odd but still reguardless it was a good movie.

10/10 for me, the gore was delicious.

And just to throw into cat's little arugment...the way you would ever really describe an original idea is how you well you make it into something different in its story and characters. Stanley Kubrick once said that originality in genre is dead and you can only make something that seems new out of it and realize it's not. But I really think what it is is that you help the genre grow with what you include into it that you haven't seen the previous works of that original piece it was basing itself from.

I've never seen Trees or Trees 2, not yet at least, but couldd you say that the trees in those movies were gory and somewhat symathetic as the trees in here? To me it seems the Tree movies you're talking about are just about plain-and-simple evil trees, but these trees have a reason to kill humans in such ways, and what the filmmakers are trying to do is say "Who's really evil?" us or them?

That sounds like a mix of Trees 2 and Cannibal Holocaust, doesn't it? With the theme in beginning too, wouldn't it just seem like they ripped that part off too?

I'll watch this tomorrow btw.
