Baby FrighT may start pre-k this year!!!

Now we need to decide his style, transportation method, and I'm not sure if he'll be eating breakfast at school or not.

As for stlye, I like the sporty/preppy look. So far, Gap has what I like. The Children's Place has nice stuff as well. I figure I should get five of everything? You know any other places with nice boy clothes? I want to find some cool graphic t-shirts, I don't think he'll be able to wear gory stuff like his UHM shirt though.

Do you guys think he's too young to use the school bus? Should I trust them even when he is old enough?

I use to love school food, I'm leaning towards letting him eat there.

I don't like the school buses my youngest had been going on one for about 4 years , when they we're supposed to drop him off at my work after school , some days they did , some days they did'nt and it was late some days . I guess the bus is a crap shoot.......maybe their smarter in your town , certainly not mine.

In order to qualify to ride the bus, you have to like more than two miles from the school. We live two and half miles away, so we barely qualify, and he'll probably be among the first set of kids to be picked up/dropped off.

Since FrighT works at home, they would just need to remember one place to drop him off, so that's good.

I just like the idea of him riding the school bus for the extra socializing.

The extra socializing is good for kids that age. And I guess the foods better than it was when I was in school.

No, let him ride the school bus. My nephew loves it. He asks my brother to ride it all the time. He thinks its so cool. School food is fun now a days...everyone is very health consious. They still make it fun though. My nephews school has breakfast for lunch one of the days and ordered out pizza every Thursday....along with fruits and carrots sticks with ranch dip. Clothes, well you have the right idea, but for me hoodies and metal bands would grace my sons shirts. BOOTS..little black awesome ones. Send him in a UHM tee on crazy shirt day.

Our son is a bit hyper/violent at times, plus he knows a few curse words. I'm prepared for phone calls already, I just know for sure that we are going to say no to ritalin, or whatever else drug they suggest.

I also can't believe the school supply list for pre-k, it's crazy. I mean, he'll only be there for three hours! I'm not sure how many days of the week, but I'm thinking he won't be going Monday through Friday.

oh gotta love the beginning of the school year. my old man takes the girls to school in the mornings and my youngest rides the bus home and the oldest walks. my youngest loves riding the bus, even though the school is only a few blocks away (she would get home faster is she walked home). as for boys clothes, i am no help, i only have girls. but i have seen some really cute clothes for boys at target and old navy. thats where the girls get most of their clothes. and yes my kids sport their baby metal shirts and i did let nola ( my youngest) wear her uhm shirt on the last day of school.

I would make him food from home and brown bag it. At least you know what your kid is getting. As far as clothes go, jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers seems right. Kids grow outta shit so fast why blow the money on more expensive clothing for nothing.

so true, when my daughter was in pre k she went thru 3 sizes of jeans in one year. and kids are harder on their jeans in school then anywhere else. i cant tell you how many pairs of jeans my girls have ripped the knees out of.

School sucks, my roomie's kid got picked on all the time until i showed him how to pound on them. The fat little bastard beat the crap out of three bullies the next day. No one f'd with him the rest of the year. I'm such a proud psuedo-dad.
