Wolverine and Iron Man ANIMES!

Apparently Marvel gave Anime production company Madhouse the go-ahead to do Anime versions of Wolverine and Iron Man. The company recently released a couple online teasers to give us an idea on what to expect and they look pretty F'n sweet. Iron Man isn't as much of a change as the Wolverine character, but the Japanese have definitely put their stamp on both icons.

The animes are supposedly coming out in 2010 and my guess is that they will be OVA's, but there's no word on whether they will be or not. Either way, check the trailers yourself and keep an eye out for more on the animes.

the Ironman one looks fuckin badass. Guy in a robotic suit just seems to fit when it comes to anime anyway. Would make sense they would do that. The Wolverine one looks cool too, but I'm not big on his look. I don't like the lean long haired "typical anime hero" look he's got goin on. Doesn't even resemble Logan in the least except for the claws. But having said that I'll watch em both. Looking more forward to the Ironamn one though cuz it looks better. Hopefully if these work out they'll do some more characters. An anime Punisher would be cool I think.

I'm not a fan of most anime, so I think they look terrible, especially Wolverine. The only thing I like was how Iron Man looked, but no doubt they have some androgynous looking Tony Stark, things like this is why I hate most anime. Uhg, yep I'm totally going to get shit from you guys on that one, but still I REALLY think anime needs to stay away from comic book characters unless the art style is along the lines of Cowboy Bebop, which I rarely see with most new animes.

The words "Nifty, Bitchin', Far-out, Solid and Right-on" came to mind as I watched both teasers... I like the different takes on both characters....

I had a friend, years ago, who was an unbelievable artist in the anime/manga style, and I asked him to do some pics of Marvel heroes in that style... The wolverine he drew was pretty much the same as the one on the teaser... His IronMan was waaayyyy different though...

I wish I still had those drawings... his anime GhostRider was unholy and fucking bad-ass...

Well, I'm a fan of both characters no matter what they look like, even if Wolverine does resemble a "Twlightesque, Homotastic" version of himself. So I'll check them out.
