For me I feel if you want one hell of a story than start collecting the Preacher novels. The synopsis is God escapes heaven and his word genesis shoots down like a comet to a small Texas church and kills all but Jesse Custer the preacher. He inherits genesis and goes hunting for God and wants answers. With him is ex-hitwoman and girlfriend Tulip and Irish Vampire Cassidy with a thirst for blood and whiskey. I really don't want to name any more of the characters because it spoils the fun but one I will say is somewhat of tragedy meets triumph when ya read about Arseface.
So what novels do you recommend?

Preacher is fantastic, I'm still on the first trade but it's amazing.
Watchmen - Of course
The Walking Dead
The Punisher - In the Beginning
Top three I'd recommend.

The Hills Have Eyes: The Beginning. It's a bit silly and over the top, but really gory and pretty action-packed in some spots.

Of course watcmen... but I also recomend the WD as they are amazing. Also MK The Punisher "Welcome Back Frank" is a great storyline, and some of it was used in the Thomas Jane movie.
