Trying to figure out the name of a video game.

All I remember is it was a side scroller and reminds me a lot of the arcade mini-game located on "The Warriors" game. I remember they were a lot of items laying around in the street you could use as weapons, such as beer bottles, pipes, etc. The characters were all fairly large and you usually had to fight 1-3 at a time before you could move forward. I know it was an arcade game that I used to play around the early/mid 90s and then I'm almost positive I remember playing it years later on a console, most likely Sega but its possible that it was on the N64. I know this isn't much info, but I'm really drawing a blank. I do remember the characters looked similar to some of the characters in the "Saturday Night Slam Masters" video game for the SNES/Sega Genesis. Anyone have any clues?

Yep definitely sounds like Streets Of Rage. Used to play it a lot when I was 9-10ish

I do remember that game now that you mention it, but unfortunately that's not the game I'm thinking of. Although now that you guys brought it up I'm gonna have to start playing it now so thanks for that. lol

The only additional imformation I can think of is that the camera view was much closer, making the characters look 5x bigger than the ones in that game and, I could be a wrong but, some of the thugs you run into and the bosses were unrealistically bigger than you. Other than that the game was a lot like Streets of Rage.
