I have a DVD-R I'd like to post in the Music Forum. Having trouble with it. Never did it before. Can anyone walk me into what to do step by step, including making a file first.

hmm not sure what you want to do mike.

Are you saying that you have a Video DVD (Music video I guess) and you'd like to post the video in the music section?

ok some steps

1. Sign up for a youtube account (it's free)

2. Rip the DVD to an AVI file using ripping software I think AVS Video converter is still free and can get the job done
http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Converter.aspx
You may need decent video/audio codecs if you dont have them already k-lite is the best
http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
Youtube should have what resolution/settings the file needs to be at

3. Upload the video to youtube

4. Link to it on UHM

Mediacoder is my preferred converter, but it's not the most n00b-friendly.
