My thoughts go out the families who lost loved ones on this horrible day. Including my old neighbor who's husband never returned home from work at the World Trade Center.

Went and watched the 9-11 show that aired on CBS about 2 months after the event-horrible as can be- cannot imagine how terrible to have been there- and hats off to the 1st responders who are still dying of cancer and lung disease after being told it was safe to be there working...

Oh, and 6 of the 10 commission members are now on public record calling the investigation a "total fraud".

I'm not really into conspiracy theory, but there's something real fucked up about 9-11.

Call me nuts.

your nuts....

I just hate how the day went from one of Mourning and wanting revenge for the atrocities to just another day. Within 10 years, it'll be nothing and people should be ashamed.

I love how whenever something doesn't add up perfectly, everyone likes to yell "Conspiracy!"

*Note- The material on George Bush and faux patriotism above from "Shut Up, You Fucking Baby" was first used by Cross four months after September 11th. The only comedian I can think of who had the balls to talk about this kind of stuff back then was Bill Maher.

I can see wanting revenge on the people that did it but to kill innocent people including our own men is not something that we need. I am sorry and I felt the lost of that day and the fear but why kill in the name of people that should be remembered and mourned?
An eye for and eye only leads to more death and hate.

Actually be more like Pearl Harbor Day.. a day that people remember... sort of... but don't really remember what the fuck for.

exactly WB... probally only 50 percent of the us can say what day pearl harbor happened, and this will eventually become the same way. Only reason people will remember the day, is because its said... 9-11.

It's really just the way things are... nothing new and though it may sadden or anger you, days of siginifance will always fade in their imporatance as time goes by... and Honestly... it is the way it should be. It's part of healing.

I can give a sort of example of what I mean. In highschool, my best friend Aaron, was hit by a car doing 60 mph, and was killed. I swore at that time I would forever honor his memory on his birthday.... I did for many years, but time went on, and now 20 years later, I don't remember the date he died nor his birthday..

I don't think it is a bad thing, it is simply a matter of time moving on, people moving on. I couldn't dwell on the loss of my best friend forever nor should the entire nation be expected to dwell a tragedy that befell on a group people that a majority of the populace didn't know in the first place.

It's not logical to expect everyone to collapse in grief on 9/11 every year.. If those of us who were living on the planet that day to witness it, just stop for a moment and remember it, I think that's sufficient.
