View Full Version : Sleep Aids

I've tried just taking one different sleep aid after another, so far nothing works for me. So I decided to ask if any of you have had moderate to serious problems getting to sleep at normal times, if you have taken a sleep aid that ACTUALLY works? Because everything I've tried just makes me slightly drowsy or just really relaxed. Which is a problem because I have a very bad habit of being up all night and sleeping all day. So this really starting to mess with things I need to get done, on the top of the list is finding a full time job.
So any of you have any suggestions? I really need to get this under control.

Hmm.. some things just don't affect others the way they say something is suppose to. Non-Drowsy (like cold pills) make me sleepy and night time pills that're suppose to make you fall asleep, keep me awake. My Grandmother is the same way.
Have you tried adding some sort of background noise?
I can't sleep if it's too quiet.. so I sleep with a fan on.. Have ever since I was little.
Hot water makes me sleepy, too.
I've only taken a sleep aid once and it didn't do anything to me.
But Baclofen, something my doctor prescribed me for my migranes, makes me VERY tired. So do Soma's.

Haha booze and a fat blunt would do the trick, but I wouldn't want to be coming into work with a hangover (not that I get those often anyway).
But last time I decided to try a new a sleep aid I noticed that nearly EVERYTHING'S active ingredient on the shelf is Diphenhydramine, which from what I hear isn't very effective. I think I'm going to try those Melatonin Capsules next, I couldn't find them my last trip to wally world.

Whatever you do, even if you feel like you just need a little help going to sleep. NEVER take a sleeping pill after you've been tripping all night. Stayed up for 15 hours when I was in high school and did that, Not a good idea:soadeto:
Overall though I never liked sleeping aids, make you feel like shit the next day and if you don't fall asleep right away you stay up feeling like you drank a bottle of Robutussin. Like 3/6 said smoke some Ganje it will straighten you out. :smokin2:

You forgot to add murdering people to your list :stare:
I've taken a couple sleep aids, which didn't work for me. However, recently I've noticed I've been quite tired after a good cardio workout, so maybe you can trying throwing a little exercise into the mix :thumbup3:

get a job and then go to the gym...you wont have any problems falling asleep. If that doesnt work try getting laid or rubbing a couple out...so says Dr. Strt

That's not nice. Seals are hard to catch once they get free.

Haha well thanks everybody, I'll probably try exercise and the Melatonin Capsules. Those will probably work best.

Take two antihistamines that say on the pack may cause drowsiness. Piriton is the best its drug name is chlorphenamine. Its what doctors prescribe before the hard drugs. It says to only take one but ive taken two before. just no more than 6 in 24 hours
