The documentary director behind Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Sicko.

He's got a new movie coming out Capitalism: A Love Story about the US stock market and general capitalistic ideas.

So what do you think of him?

It's hard to believe things in this nation can be solved so easily, like he seems to think, but he does bring up some valid arguements and brow-raising instances in his "work".

I've only ever seen parts of Bowling for Columbine, but I can tell he's a straight up douche. He got all in Charlton Heston's face and practically blamed him for the shooting death of a child. As if Heston handed the gun over to the assailant. And didn't he try to bring in sick children from Cuba and pass them off as American's for Sicko? Fuck 'em.

The man abuses the privileges of a free society to preach for a ruling class, and a society which would disallow his very livelihood.

I really do not have the words.

I love his stuff, he knows what's going on. actually just saw an advanced screening of Capitalism and it's a great argument about the abuses of capitalism and that maybe we need to re-think our values. :giggle: That's all I'm gonna say.

HE's OK. It's easy to point to all the problems OTHER people are making.

Would be nice if he had some solid solutions.

He's a douchebag, BUT he does point out some problems that need to be solved. I could care less for him though, his latest flick looks like his most decent one, but I doubt I'll see it until it's on TV or something.

He's a bomb-thrower to be sure. I'm all for things that get people talking, but he does himself and the issues he tries to cover a disservice when he plays fast and loose with the facts.

I appreciate what he's trying to do, and some of the topics he brings up ('Rogers and Me' even more relevant now perhaps?). That said, his approach isn't always the most helpful.

I'm with Mike and Rust, the main problem I have is that he has no real solutions that he suggests.

I think he's pretty great. He has the guts to stand up (as a public figure) and say things that we're all trained from our birth on up not to say. Things like capitalism is nothing sacred, ooohh we're not allowed to say that! If you're not with capitalism you're not in line with God!! Right? If you're not with capitalism you're against freedom!! Bullshit. Go Mike!

How can he rail against capitalism when he himself has made a personal fortune of $50 million in our system? Elitist snob who wants to dictate other peoples lives through public policy. No better than Rush Limbaugh or O'Rielly.

He's a total douche....using editing, and sometimes blatant lies to twist the truth and try to make it seem like his opinions are factual. Wish he'd eat one to many baconators at Wendy's and keel over already.
