As some of you may or may not know, there is a new version of RE5 coming out soon. Other than new motion controls it would also include a new mission at the Spencer estate with Chris and Jill!

Hopefully they release it as DLC as well, then again I probably will still buy it if they release it retail. Can't wait to play some good ol RE action in HD :cheerlead

I've given up on the rest of the Resident Evil saga after RE4, yeah that game was just a guilty pleasure, but just only some of it seemed a bit too ridiculous. These new RE games are just action games for the birds.

I agree with you as well Toby. I didn't care for Resident Evil 5. Wesker was the only thing that kept me playing.

Well, I mean it just carried on to being an action saga rather than keeping up with its fright roots with the first and second game, the third one I'll just by a pinch allow, it too was just an action game but it still had some scary horror elements to it that seemed fairly appropriate. And yeah, Wesker is starting to be transformed into the British-Blond version of Neo from the Matrix.

I'm looking foward to the RE Darksyde Chronicles, not sure what you guys think about those game, but I like them. Plus the new story line sounds interesting. Plus Wesker will be in it lol.

Well enjoy this little bit, because from what ive read they haven't even really started on RE6, so they don't have a set direction, though if i recall i remember an interview stating they were gonna change the way it played again after 4,5 which in my opinion is a good thing, I loved 4, and i enjoyed 5, but i came away somewhat disappointed that 5 seemed like a marginal update to 4 when it took so long to make.

I preferred 5 over 4. Just level 5 alone was better than RE4. I just hope RE6 has the same atmosphere as the Remake. http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/images/smilies/drool.gif

I just think Capcom needs to go with a hybrid game that will satisfy the ever so obvious great divide in the series that RE4 and RE5 caused.

Going one way or another will only alienate one side or the other and therefore be counter productive.

Its very simple.

- Can play the game with either the old school camera angles or the RE4/5 style over the shoulder.

- Both zombies and uroboros/las plagas enemies and the zombies should be BOTH slow zombies and the crimson zombies in the remake.

- Classic monsters mixed with new monsters

- Bring back the RPG element for those who loved to back track through the earlier games.

It's all too easy for Capcom, yet they'll probably continue to go one way or the other with the franchise.

Was playing RE5 wit Fright earlier and I had to d/l new sheet for the game, the figures were included. It was 6 or 7 figures so PS3 got them too.

360 doesn't update every weekday :hehe: Only on Wednesdays for releases and Monday for DOTWs.....unless a demo gets released on the PSN Thursday they will get it as well, or the occasional random update....which happens on PSN as well :D

A quick breakdown on the new DLC and what it actually entails.

Lost in nightmares is completely different than RE5, and you cannot save anywhere in it. So once you stop playing it you have tor restart from the beginning, which is a real pain. The separate costume pack is robbery, the costumes aren't for the actual game RE5, rather they are for the new Mercenaries Reunion mode only. If you do not purchase them, you can only use two characters in Mercenaries mode, Barry and Excella.they should have been included in the $5 price tag of the DLC not sold separately for more. Capcom is shady with that.

So that is it for the first half of the new DLC, the 2nd will be the same except for the mission will be RE5 based instead of the more originally themed, and paced style of Lost in Nightmares.
