I frequently go to www.ninjavide.net, a site to watch tv shows. In IE,
it always worked and it still does. But only in IE, videos won't work
in Mozilla Firefox, they won't even load. It freezes up my computer
when trying to. My question to you is it a setting in the new browser I
can simply click off of or is it no biggie and I should just watch it
in IE?

Some sites are just like that, they're friendlier with certain browsers than others. I haven't really experienced anything like that before, so I wouldn't know a way around it.

Its not a big deal: I like MF better than IE already now. Its not a system thing, its just determining the right plugin for the site to work in MF, I will just view videos in IE. I like MF better because it loads faster and just seems to work better overall.

Now I just have to focus on an update error I keep getting, I swear computers try and kill themselves when I come around. I have done nothing to this thing. I even just had it restored back to factory form for update errors. I hated IE8, but the update is there for it and even though I don't want it, it should update without flaw and it doesn't. Been talking to the IT guys on campus a lot lol!

Im done with this laptop. I have done nothing to it, had it restored because of errors in updating, works great for a few days, goes back to being even worse.

I have 14 updates that continue to fail, this is insane.

Are you sure you're talking about computers here or people? :shifty:

As lame as it is to sympathize with beweird, I know the PC trouble feeling. I got the feeling my PC is going to crap out on me sometime soon, one problem after another keeps popping up.

I could respond to this, but where to start? with the issue of the laptop? or the issue with Firefox and IE?

Laptop-- check your hardware and then your protections--firewalls, antivirua, that sortof thing. If it won't update, sounds like a virus. even a church website can contain viruses if not properly maintained.

As far as Firefox is concerned--love it, hate IE. I won't even open up IE. From just guessing, and I'm sure I'll be called wrong here, but, the site may be HTML coded, even though I've always had better success with a site on Firefox than IE, usually IE is the problem. As web designer, it's always IE that messes up my sites. Wiat, what are your settings in firefox? security wise? that might be the problem?
