My friend was talking to me about this the other day. It seems like they're possibly trying to do what Steam has been doing for years now :hmmm:

Not surprising really. They have been tempting their playerbase to get battlenet for a long time, especially with their big Mt. Dew promotion that gave incentives to activate Bnet. Was only a matter of time before they made the "register or be screwed" line in the sand.
