this clip looks all kinds of badass. Slated for a 1Q 2010 release it's essentially a remake of the awesome 90s FPS that let you choose Alien Predator or Human.

Until they get a more appropriate ratings system, a lot more games will be banned to keep them out of the hands of kids. Have they retroactively banned the movies this game originated from? All the violence is in those too.

Developer Rebellion has said it will not edit it's game for australia, so no AVP in the outback...Aussies get you're import sites ready.

Well that's what I meant haha, they give me enough info on the game and make sure to point out the biggest flaws and discuss them. That's much better than like GameInformer or IGN who just don't give good enough reviews.

I like xplay, but it feels rushed on some stuff so I fall back on the website to get more detail at my pace. Commercial free is not a choice, its a way of life, :watchtv:

This game and Bioshock 2 are starting to bug me. Not interested in multiplayer on either game. AvP's multiplayer is unappealing and disappointing. Bioshock 2, no... just no. I like the first for the story, I don't want to be teabagged by a 12 yr old running a slicer. Without multiplayer involved... its a toss up on which system to get them on just for the single player experience, PS3 or 360. Hoping to see a 'buy one get one free' deal at the store to make the choice for me.

I myself wasn't too happy with the MP. The Predator is absolutely bad ass and the Alien is so fast you can run up behind anyone and do a quick kill. It's not really that fun. Oh well. I'm going to wait for some scores anyway, but I probably won't buy it due to still playing MW2 and L4D2.

while i thought the demo was fun and interesting enough to warrant a playthrough at some point..why did they pick deathmatch as the only mode you could play? you have a multiplayer system that stands out because you have 3 very different characters..and you choose to release your demo with the most vanilla multiplayer mode the game has. kinda weak. that being said.. i love the two franchises, and loved AVP 1 and 2 on pc.. at some point i'll probably buy this not a day one purchase, but for sure down the line.

I just played the demo for my first time. It was...umm...kinda lame. The map that is in the demo is HORRIBLE too. It's just a bunch of dark corridors and random boxes and crap.

Was playing 1v1 with a friend. Seems like in a 1v1 scenario, the Predator pretty much dominates.

Yeah, pretty strange since they hyped having the same modes AVP2 had like Hunt and Survivor. Both are pretty thrilling and can become actually scary.

AVP2's Survivor matches were awesome. I remember still roaming around the corridors, seeking the safe place where everyone else was holed up, 3 players had already turned into an alien, so I felt I was pretty screwed if 2-3 of them would notice me at the same time.

Then suddenly all the survivors in the safe place were quickly butchered one by one. So now I was the only human left, still having scores per second, while there was now 12 aliens trying to find and kill me. And I was still roaming in the corridors, only a small flamer in hand. I miraculously managed to survive for 1 extra minute, and that last minute was full of awesome.

so i bought this game today and have played it for a few hours and i have to say it is very fun. the online stuff is kool i really like the predator thing where one person gets picked to be a predator and the rest are marines it is alot of fun. so is the infestation mode. the campaigns are fun. all in all i like this game now that doesnt mean you will like it just saying that i enjoy it.

Im a noob to this game. I picked it up and I think it's pretty fun. I've only played as the Predator so far and I've enjoyed it. Not a big fan of some of forward based melee combat though especially against the Aliens because I've fallen off cliffs a lot during the hand to hand combat. :straightface:

Working on Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2 myself, both of which I really enjoy. Will buy AvP eventually, but since I have no interest in the multiplayer, I am torn on a PS3 or 360 version. Anyone know if there is any noticable difference in graphic quality between the two? Are they carbon copies or does PS3's blu-ray tech show through at all?

Yes, 6 different endings: 2 good, 2 neutral, and 2 bad. Surprising amount for a short game, huh? Which ending you get is determined by what you do with the lil sisters (adopt/harvest) and the 3 main people you can choose to kill or let live. I beat 2 twice so far and got the 2 'good' endings.

2 Goods: rescue all lil sisters and spare the 2 or more killables -/- rescue all lil sisters and kill 2 or more of the killables.

2 Neutrals: mix the lil sisters, harvesting some and rescuing some, and spare 2 or more -/- mix the lil sisters, harvesting some and rescuing some, and kill 2 or more of the killables.

2 evil: harvest all lil sisters and spare 2 or more of the killables -/- harvest all lil sisters and kill 2 or more killables.

Choice kills are Grace, the dude in the security booth, and Gil (guy in water tank). Observant folks will notice in Lamb's office (when you are shorter and cuter), the statues of you meeting the 3 people will be different if you kill or let them live.

I have beaten it twice and gotten both good endings. Detail spoilers:

Only difference between the 2 good endings is your daughter saves Lamb in the 'spare all killables' version and your daughter makes Lamb drown in the "kill all killables" version.

yeah. i did it the long way and searched every single corner cuz i wanted all the audio files. so i found all the power to the people and audio files and felt a sense of achievement. also the 30 points doesn't hurt also.
