I was woken up by a tap on the shoul;der from one of the stewardesses
"Hello sir.Sorry tp disturb you,but we've landed" she said.
"Huh??.."I still felt drowsy from the sleep I'd just had and needed to stretch my legs.A loud yawn rose from my throat ,and I rubbed my face to try and make myself feel more awake.
"How long have I been asleep for?" I asked
"around 14 hours.The entire flight!"she said with a grin." You kept the rest of the passengers awake for most of it with your snoring!"
I looked around at everyone and gave them all a small smile...
"Bollocks....Sorry about that" I said sheepishly.Some of the looks I got from the passengers were a mix of disdain and amusement,but I could tell we were all happy to be here in one piece.
A young kid of around 10 years old asked where we were.He was wearing a NINE INCH NAILS shirt and he looked a little tired. I got up out iof my seat and took a look out of the window.
"I'm pretty sure we're in Texas.." I said.
"What makes you say that?" said a a guy who looked to be in his 40's,and whose clothing had been ripped and was looking like it had seen better days.His general appearance was that of someone who had been dragged through a hedge.
"The big fucking sign that says 'WELCOME TO HOUSTON' might have something to do with it..."I muttered.
"I think we need to come up with a plan..." i said to the others.
Twenty minutes later I had changed my clothes and had cleaned myself up.The stuff I had slept in had a pretty funky smell to it and was pretty much caked with blood and brain matter.So much so I had to soak the shirt to take it off.I felt rank.
When I walked back into the seated area,one of the guys said things weren't looking too great if we wanted to just get up and walk off the plane.
"There must be around 100 of those undead fuckers out there by the terminal.We won't stand a chance." said one of the guys.
"Fuck me!" I said "There's fucking loads of them!!!"
I took a look and agreed with what he had to say.If we wnated to get out of here,we would have to think of some genius idea where we would have to go undetected amongst the undead.No walking through the masses pretending that we were like themwould work in this situation...
"I can see a shuttle bus not that far from here.." said the kid.It's looks to be around 150 yards away."
I looked at where he was talking about and It didn't look too bad.No sign of undead lurking around,so we may have had a chance if we were quick.
we may have to sneak out there...
Three of us got out of the plane and snuck up to the bus.We ran quietly so as not to get noticed.We got to the bus and all seemed pretty clear.I pulled my blades and was ready in case we got attacked.
I stepped onto the bus and I could hear the distinct sounds of muching going on.I motioned for the others to stay where they were for the moment while I dealt with the situation.The zombie was that of the driver.
He was eating what was left of an old woman who looked like she was in her 60's.The look on her face was stricken with terror and the dead head had ripped off one of her breasts and was chewing noisily.The small scraps of skin falling out of his mouth as he ate made a disgusting pattern on the floor,blood spatters on the seat and her clothing.
I walked up behind him and raised my blades,and struck.I Sliced his head at an angle,and the cut wasn't clean.He shit himself as I sliced the head off and the stench was like that of spoilt meat.I wretched,and had to hold my breath.
I took care of the old lady and opened the back door of the bus,pushing the corpses off the platform.I called the others on.
It took us 30 minutes or so to get back to the plane.We had to find the keys for the bus(they were on the driver) and make sure we were as quiet as possible getting back.We'd have been fucked if the hordes spotted us.
Only several of the people wanted to get on the bus,the rest of them opted to take there chances by staying on the plane.I figured thay would be safe for a little while,but I knew I would never see them again.
We drove through the airport and managed to avoid the undead the best that we could.we had a couple of stragglers try and run in front of the bus ,but we just ran them over a couple of times to make sure they wouldn't get up again(double -tap!)
The journey went on for around foour hours,when we came up to a bus station and I got the guys to drop me off.They didn't want me to go,but I told them I would rather take my chances on foot than be stuck on the bus.
I walked for around four hours and dealt with a few of the undead.Around 20 or so.I nearly didin't make it out of one house I thought would be a pretty good place to sleep for the night.I didn't notice that the cellar door had been left open,and my ignorance almost got me eaten.It was a family of 5,that almost got me that afternoon,And as soon as I dealt with them,I left.
I was really fucking tired and on the verge of collapse,when I decided to take a seat on the edge of the sidewalk.I smoked a cigarette and took several slugs of whiskey,just to relax me a little and heard a gunshot from around 20 ft away.
"FUCKING HELL!!!" I shouted.
"Who goes there???" a voice said
"I'm DEADCELLSOCIETY from the uk,looking for the compound that the FRIGHTMASTER has somewhere here in texas...Who the fuck are you??"
"DEADCELL?????!!! No fucking way,man!!! what the fuck are you doing in this shithole?"
"Who are you man?I don't recognise...." I didin't finish the sentence.
he fired several shots into an undead who was literally 3 feet within my reach.I would have been toast had he not did that.I was a little deafened after that,and the ringing in my ears was a little bit much.
"It's me DMHEAD dude...Welcome to the neighborhood.."
I was so happy to see him,I just gave him a hug.I told him what had happened in the UK,and the look on his face said it all.
" The whole world is fucked isn't it?"he said
"The future ain't looking too bright for us buddy,it has to be said.."
