Do I smell a stinker?

I say that for this reason: It isn't like you can sit there and film stunts in 3-D, though it would be very awesome to see them in 3-D, I don't think it will be.

I can say this, it will be fun to watch these guys do some more stupid shit. I enjoyed the first 2 some I'm kinda/sorta looking forward to this one.

Media coverage of Hasan, Palin

Hard to argue against the notion that media standards have all but collapsed in the United States. A strong majority of media coverage of important events is driven by ideology or ratings/profitability. The end result is that is is extremely difficult to learn the truth about important issues.

The Hasan/FT Hood coverage was very disturbing. The liberal media at CNN, NBC, ABC quickly made excuses for Hasan saying he was disturbed about going to war and blaming US policy for his actions. Many stories failed to report that he was a Muslim. Stunning.
The Obama administration was quick to tell us not to rush to judgement. This is the same Obama that rushed to judgement by saying Cambridge police "acted stupidly" in the arrest of Proffessor Gates.

Chris "I get a thrill up my leg when I listen to Obama" Matthews incredibly asked "Is it even a crime for Hasan to have called Al Queda recruiters?"

The coverage on Palin has been equally disturbing. The aforementioned Chris Matthews described a recent Palin book signing as being attended by "mostly white people". Just what are you accusing these people of Chris?

Difficult to get the truth on important issues and it hurts us all.

old UHM pal Tim Sullivan on Scream Queens 2

UHM's old friend Tim Sullivan (2001 Maniacs) will direct and star as host for the upcoming second season for VH1's Scream Queens. James Gunn wasn't able to reprise the hosting gig, as it conflicts with his new project "Super", so Tim will host along-side co-star Jamie King.

The show begins filming this Sunday, with an estimated Summer 2010 television release. The winner this time 'round will receive a role in the upcoming Saw VII :myhead:

If you live in the LA area help keep a cool store open--

$1 video week begins Monday, November 16th at noon and ends at 8pm on Sunday the 22nd. So yes, all the vhs on the shelves and tables will be a dollar each. Can't beat that.

Keep in mind there's over 15,000 movies not on dvd yet, so this is your only way to view many of these gems. Grab a box by the front door and just start cramming them full. We need to clear out about a thousand videos to make room for other rotgut filth.

As always, new movies and games in stock on a regular basis. We'll be closed on Thanksgiving. The store is also now limiting holds to 24 hours and that's it. After that, back on the shelves the merchandise goes.

We do disc repair, special orders, and gift certificates. And if it ain't on the shelves/tables, it's not for sale. The dvds are still buy-5-get-1-free throughout November.

For you Blu-ray fans, I got a special treat for you! Palisades Tartan plans to releases the Vengeance Trilogy (currently hitting DVD) on Blu-ray this coming March! A confirmed date nor special features have yet been announced, but I can only imagine the Blu-ray set will include identical DVD features. Stay tuned for further developments!

Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance Premise:
Korean director Park Chan-wook followed up his highly acclaimed Joint Security Area with this tale of a deaf mute named Ryu (Shin Ha-kyun) trying to help his sister (Lim Ji-Eun) get a kidney transplant. Because his blood type is incompatible and no donors are available, he turns to a group of black-market organ dealers who offer to find one in return for one of his and ten million won. The dealers rip him off, so Ryu conspires with his girlfriend, a political activist, to kidnap his former boss' young daughter and ransom her for the ten million won. But a horrible complication ruins their plans and things begin to spiral out of control as the girl's father (Song Kang-ho) decides to take matters into his own hands with the help of a sympathetic cop.

Oldboy Premise:
An average man is kidnapped and imprisoned in a shabby cell for 15 years without explanation. He then is released, equipped with money, a cellphone and expensive clothes. Is this sexist IYO...alot of people in politics seem to think so and are angered at Sarah's decision to take such a sexy pic. People are saying that NEWSWEEK acted irresponsibly and has shown that they'll do anything to sell magazines.

What a bunch of bullshit. #1 who gives a shit and #2 she posed for the cover of a running magazine when that pic was taken...not really that sexy.

Of course NEWSWEEK knew they'd be making headlines releasing that picture on the cover. Big deal...Sarah is on a tour trying to sell her new book...why not use her natural assets as a marketing vehicle I say :D and is NEWSWEEK the first magazine to bend their ethical backbone a bit to sell a few more issues...I think not.

Streaming one of my favorite radio shows and they're covering a great topic: When you were a kid what did your parents NOT allow you to watch/listen to/read and why? I Be interested to know what the UHM community has to say.

I got quite a few and maybe that's why I gravitated towards horror but for starters I wasn't allowed to watch Tiny Toons because my mom saw the ep when Plucky, Hampton and Buster all get drunk off a 40 oz. and drive off a cliff.

Also, not allowed to watch Nickelodeon channel. They thought Ren and Stimpy and You Can't Do That On Television wasn't appro for a 7 year old.
