Movie revolves around some kind of glowing green goo...

I saw this movie quite a few years ago and I have been trying to figure this out for years. Most of the action takes place in a church I believe with a priest and some teenagers. There are demons, or vampires, or something outside of the church the whole movie who are trying to get in. The green goo is in some type of goblet and I am not sure of much else. I know throughout the movie either the forces outside or the goo itself causes some people to see things or do things in an attempt to get the people outside, in the church. I have no idea is this is enough info or not. I think this had to be a 90's movie. If it is any older than that it is a very late 80's movie.

kinda sounds like Troll 2...though no one would want to track that movie down so that can't be it.

Prince of Darkness and Demon Knight could both fit the bill from the description.

Demon Knight had the religious relic that contained the blood of christ. Don't remember Prince Of Darkness too well.

i have to disagree, there was no goblet in prince of darkness, it was a large cylinder/tube. also, the people outside were keeping the people inside in, not the other way around. its not demon knight either.

Before I read any responses to the description, I thought Demon Knight.

The Prince of Darkness especially if you remember the Bicycle death..... also how did they get that case up those stairs?

I thought Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooz... before i read the description. After, i'd assume DK.
