Spoiler...I liked those reoccurring scenes with the old man discussing how he's been stuck by lightening
Spoiler...My fav. story is when he mentions getting struck while minding his own business, driving his car, I found that one hilarious for some reason :mhehe:
Movie was great. It sort of reminded me of Forrest Gump in a way, but it didn't have that same flair the made FG the stellar movie it was.
Still a beautifully shot movie with a touching story. 8/10 for me as well.
I thought the same thing Gruesome it kinda reminded me of Forrest Gump for some reason also.
In my opinion this flick WILL go down as a modern day classsic.
Its just so brilliant and so beautiful. I loved everyone in it. It had me laughing, crying. I thought it was so amazing.
10/10
Spoiler...IDK if this is a spoiler but I really like with the relationship of Queenie and Ben that they kinda never mentioned any racism from outsiders or anything like that

Watched this last night. I really liked it. I found it a little long but it was a quality film.
Realms of Fantasy magazine had a nice writeup about this movie.
Looks like the kind of movie I can respect for its competence, but never want to see. I just don't want to spend money on something that is going to eat up two hours and leave me sad.
Dreck or not everyone and their mother is talking up this movie, and while it doesn't pique my interest I feel like I have to watch it just so I'm not clueless when I talk about the movie.
This isn't a black and white "This movie clearly sucks" situation like Paul Blaart: Mall Cop or Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Its nominated for a goddamn Oscar.
