Evil Dead 4???
Raimi Wants His Brother To Write Next 'EVIL DEAD' Film?!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Herald Sun conducted an interview with filmmaker Sam Raimi as part of a "Spiderman 4" piece. However, during the interview, The Herald Sun asked Raimi about the possibility of there being another Evil Dead flick. Here is what Raimi, himself, had to say:
Well I'm trying to get my brother, Ivan, to write the screenplay with me. He wrote 'Army of Darkness', the third one, with me and we have been talking about another one, but we haven't started work on it.
-
sounds interesting...but if he's working on Spiderman 4 this won't be happening anytime soon.
-
good lord not these rumors again
-
Evil Dead 4 will never happen. A remake? Quite Possibly.
"My name is Bruce" is probably the closest thing you'll get to an ED sequel.
-
Although I'd like to see another Evil Dead film, I haven't liked any of Raimi's work BESIDES the original Evil Dead films...I don't know if this is any indication of the evolution of his directing skills or if they's just specific to the movies he's worked on. Hmm...
-
he seems like a weird dude, i saw a few interviews he had for Spiderman 3...acts weird
-
I don't know about this. I mean, it would be nice to see another one come out and yet, I'd rather not. Maybe just play the original three in theatres during Halloween or something. I'd like to see these films in the big screen! However, I would like to see Sam directed another horror film, since all he's been doing lately is producing them.
-
Sam needs to continue with the Evil dead series... his best stuff by far.
-
I thought The Quick and The Dead Was Great.
-
If an Evil Dead 4 were made, I'd cream in my pants... but I don't think that's gonna happen. I don't think Raimi will return for Spidey 4 either. I love Raimi though, his style is interesting... Evil Dead trilogy, Darkman, Simple Plan, The Gift, Spiderman 2, all great flicks IMO.
-
I'd like to see him work on more small thrillers like Simple Plan, but I doubt that'll happen.
-
great news update...lol.
there's been "talk" about a 4th Evil Dead for how many years now?
-
I'm up for it, i'd love to see a fourth.

It's never going to happen.. but if it did, I would see it.
As long as they had Bruce Campbell, I am sure it would be good.
-
Yup, this is an OLD ASS THREAD...however it is now of relevance again.
It's no surprise that wherever Sam Raimi goes, Evil Dead questions are sure to follow. However, while at a Meet the Filmmakers event for his upcoming Oz: The Great and the Powerful, Raimi dropped a pretty huge bombshell (from Disney's official transcript):
"I would love to make Evil Dead 4. My brother and I plan to work on the script this summer."
