This is a Canadian film following the true story of a social worker (Paula Walker) and her interactions with Rock Theriault (Luc Picard) and his followers. The movie moves decenlty fast, the content is somewhat disturbing and the characters are very well played. This cult drama offers an entertaining, sad, and sometimes creepy look into the world of small cults and abuse.

Recomended for those that enjoy true story movies, Cult films, Crime/Mystery dramas. :watchtv:

This is a Canadian film following the true story of a social worker (Paula Walker) and her interactions with Rock Theriault (Luc Picard) and his followers. Rock's followers are mostly female and live with him in a small forest area within Ontario.

The movie moves decenlty fast, offering deeper and darker insights to Rock's cult overtime. The content is somewhat disturbing and the characters are very well portrayed. The actresses playing Rock's followers/concubines work to show the emotional and mental problems that come with the absence of individuality.

I have 5 major points used to rate a movie. When the film meets a standard it receives a happy face, opposed to a sad face meaning the film hasn't impressed me due to either lack of focus or execution. Rarely, due to unbelievable execution of one of the 5 major points, a movie will receive double smilies.

This film gets a 4/5, not a must see, but a good film to watch.
