It happens to me on occasion, I saw Man of steel on cable a few years back but didn't like it but then one day over last summer I got the urge to see it again so bought the blu ray and liked it much better. You ever do the same thing?

I always hope for this feeling. Tried it with Blair Witch and the Friday the 13th remake but no such luck. Though i saw a lot of Falling Down in bits and pieces growing up. When i tracked it down it became one of my favorite films.
I love that film falling down, it's funny but i am not sure if it's intended to be.
Happens to me sometimes, depending on the movie. I may grow more of an appreciation for a film now that as an adult I can fully understand everything or I may enjoy a movie more due to nostalgia
Usually if a movie fails to spark with me at first viewing then I can't say I started liking it on future viewings. Generally speaking I tend to dislike the movie further upon repeated viewing. There might be some rare occasions that escape me at the moment...
Sure.
With Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, the more times i saw it with people the more i appriciated it and ended up putting it above Oldboy.
I agree.
I actually think oldboy is the worst of the trilogy, although thats not a knock at all. Its simply Mr and Lady have far more depth in the story, in the art style and are generally more interesting.
That said, nothing beats the Oldboy soundtrack.

It happens to me occasionally; usually because I missed something critical in the movie or because of a failure of me understanding what just happened in the movie or what was said.....for quite some time I couldn't stand Monty Python because I didn't understand what was said because of the heavy accents at times. After multiple viewings I have become quite the Monty Python fan....pretty much same for Benny Hill.
Can't stand Mr. Vengance thought it was by far the weakest
That one guy does a good review of it... bad horror reviews or something like that. Bad reviews?
You should probably watch it again, i find it hard to believe you'd get Lady and all its nuances and not Mr when they are so similar.

He does a great job of reviewing the trilogy.
