My Year-Long Horror Movie Marathon Part 2

So, a few years back I thought I'd be able to watch a horror movie each day for a year. I started at the end of May and made it until February or so. I watched 276 films before I tapped out. That link and all the movies I watched is here..

I got through a lot of stinkers, but also found some gems hidden in there. It's odd because watching all those films never really made me blend them together in my head. If someone brings one of those films up, I usually remember what it was about and who was in it, usually. In the end, I was cheating a bit and was watching a lot of MST3K's horror films because I was getting so burned out.

strtfghtr recently borrowed my idea and actually stuck with it, doing over 365 films. His impressive link is below. He also has a google doc link showing ratings and little notes on each film. Very cool! Congrats to him for doing something I couldn't do

Now, I am trying again, but this time I have a girlfriend doing it with me. I discussed it with her and she is down to watch just as many films as I am. I am primarily going to watch films I have never seen before like my original list. Doing that really opened the door to great horror. So, I will update this thread and copy/paste the movies I watch into this post. I'll post little notes here or there and maybe do some reviews. I'm ready to try this again :2thumbs:

Note: I am going to TRY and do this every day. If I can't watch a horror film here or there (I am a college student), I will try to make it up on the weekend. My aim is to get 365 films, not necessarily watch a film every single day, but we shall see how it works out.

Watched "Elves" (1989) last night. It had a really interesting premise, but it was so poorly done. The monster, although cheap looking, was pretty creepy at times the way it was shot. It is a shame it felt so poorly made.

Zombeavers was fucking atrocious, but Let Us Prey was pretty decent. Good gore, but the story didn't really go anywhere imo.

Still going strong! I have a vacation the week after next, so I can definitely get caught up on my missed days then. :thumbup:

I rated some lower than Visions, but I thought that movie was trash

Ha ha ha I love Elves, it's so bad

So, I have missed 9 days out of 50-something. School has been really taking up a lot of time so I have been missing more and more. Need to make these up! But, I am still rolling with it.
