Extremely vague memories of an old horror movie.
I remember watching this movie in the 80's as a kid so the details are a bit blurry. Okay, here goes. A man and woman are driving along a road at night through a forest. They either see something in the woods or hit something and decide to stop. The man ventures into the woods to look for whatever it was. He's looking around and sees something embedded into the forest ground. He's sprayed in the face by whatever it is. That's the first thing I remember. The second is a scene where either a man or woman takes a shower and ends up removing all their skin to become a different person underneath. Like I said, the details are vague but this has been in the back of my mind for quite some time. Any ideas??
