I think the trailer played it safe. But I can see right through it and it looks like we have another shitty remake coming.
Eh, At least they kept the chic being killed in the bedroom part.. If they mess that up I will scream and the Freddy doesn't look scary he looks like the hollows man retarded brother...
His voice :nervouswreck:
i love jackie Earle Haley and thought he was perfect for the role until just now..but i will see it anyway
Did you guys scream at that really scary part? The part where it showed Michael Bay was producing?
And once again, all because it's not Robert Englund, everybody grabs a box of tissues and their bitch box and stands up shouts, "IT'S GONNA SUCK!" We haven't gotten a full, clear look at him, yet everyone looks at the one dark shot we got of his face and complains. We get one snipit of dialogue and everyone hates how he says it. How many times did Robert alter his voice during the series?
There's a line in the script that reads (paraphrasing) "The brain stays alive seven minutes after the body dies. I still have three minutes with you." That's already the best damn Freddy quote I've ever heard and I really don't care how he sounds saying it. He's not playing it as Englund as Freddy. He's playing it as himself as Freddy. Don't like it? Don't go see the movie.
I never really cared for that one. I was always a bigger fan of, "This is God." The Primetime quote led to shit like, "Rick, you little meatball," and, "Now I'm playing with power!" Yeah, take that Englund enthusiasts. He played with a fucking NES. How bad does that sting?
One more thing, thank God Freddy's back in the fucking shadows again. It seems he had spotlights on him by the end of the series.
Freddy looks and sounds like, in his Nightmare form, an old burn-victim bum around your street corner who's asking for change, and if you don't he'll cut you.
The movie doesn't look all that amazing, the dream-like gimmicks they're reusing just don't get me all hiped up for it, and it doesn't look creative.
Once again, and pardon me for complaining as a big Freddy fan, Michael Gay keeps horribly raping our horror heroes like how he didn't use protection with Bayformers.
The trailer shows that New Line definately spent some money on it and the sets really look amazing. I would have liked them to go with an original story instead of a remake of the original, but I guess you can't have it all. This really is an un-necessary movie, they still had plenty they could have done with a Nightmare prequel with England as Freddy or with a sequel to Freddy vs Jason.
Stop denying it Cwiz.....Freddy looks and sounds like shit. Even the score of this film is gonna be shit compared to the OG. F This.
Spoiler...There's supposed to be a mystery as to whether or not Freddy did kill the children he was murdered for.
Oh yeah, because 62 year old Robert could pass for mid 30's Freddy. :DQuote:

I have no problems with them sticking close to source material. That worked for F13 09 and it will probably work here. Its a double edged sword. I did say I don't like the new Freddy but that should not hurt it too much if the rest holds up.
looks reaaly shitty. and for once i was looking forward to a Freddy movie :sure:
I'm keeping my hopes very low, I had them a little too high for the F13 remake and it bit me in the ass
Looks aight, i'll wait until it gets closer to release before i decide if i'm gonna see it.
