Looks like it might be pretty funny!.
Loved the first one, this one looks great too. Only thing I have seen Channing Tatum in and I enjoyed the hell out of it.
First was surprisingly funny. Looking forward to this sequel :rockin:
First was awesome, I'm all for this!
still haven't seen the first, but really want to.
will watch both of these sooner or later.
I can't look at Tatum now and not picture him as Danny McBride's "gimp" in This Is The End, ass hiked in the air, ready for some rough riding. That film scarred me, lol.
:rockin: Cant wait
Nice! Looks like this will be as good as the first.
Ok that actually had me laughing
like most here the first one I thought was funny as hell...I will be checking this one out also
Yes.
This sequel was hilarious and amazing. I actually liked it a lot more than the first
Solid 8/10
thanks for the heads up DM:2thumbs:
:hmmm:
There is also a post-credits scene that is entirely worth the wait. The general credits scene in general had me dying, but the post credits scene was also short and sweet.
This film is consistently funny from beginning to end. The first one was really good, but I feel once you get passed the initial 30 minutes, it droops a little bit in comedy. The sequel is funny throughout the entire thing. I am not a fan of new Ice Cube comedies, but he was hysterical in this. The writing was really good and seeing Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum almost crack a smile in every scene makes it that much funnier. There are a lot of homages to past comedies and the fact that the movie is self-aware that it is a sequel truly makes for comedy gold. It's hard to explain, but the first 20 minutes is making references to how bad sequels usually are and to "just stick to what you did in the first one, people like that". It's really brilliant.
Thought it was good, not as good as the first one. 6.5/10
I was really surprised with how well this works. After Kevin Williamson beat self-awareness in film into the ground, dug up the corpse and buried it again I was pretty much done with anything winking at the audience but it totally worked here. Even the lines pointing out how expensive and pointless action scenes get and how the new HQ was "needlessly" expensive. Stuff that bugs the shit out of me all the time in movies they poke fun at all through this film. It was great.
I enjoyed it a lot more than the first, which I enjoyed more than I expected to. Really funny stuff throughout and there's no doubt in my mind at least half of it is ad lib. I wasn't a fan of Channing Tatum early in his career but seeing him subvert his looks for comedy gold has made me a fan. You can't fake being funny and he's got timing and delivery down and the ability to own every goofball moment without hesitation or self consciousness.
All the ironic relationship drama subtext was amazing fodder for laughs too which is sort of a staple with Jonah Hill and the use of sometimes uncomfortable but hilarious homoerotic innuendo (which makes his recent PR problem totally bizarre).
And that Z-28...man, that was a sexy car.
