Yeah..my girlfriend loves horror films, but doubt she would want to do one every day. I wanted to start this today, but I don't see how I will have the chance.

THAT explains everything now... I want a divorce.
So I watch a lot of cheesy movies from amazon prime on my kindle, though I've been running out of old B&W horror and decided that I needed to up my game and just got this badboy in the mail

I'm going to load a few each week on my kindle and hopefully I find a few gems in the set
So after my October and up to today I'm at just under 350 films, it should be no problem to hit the 365 mark but I think i'll go past it. Last week I was starting to feel a little worn out on horror (same thing I felt early on in March) but I just got a new MS surface to play with so its given me enough flexibility to get back on the horror wagon. I kinda broke the wireless on my kindle so web browsing and downloading were out of the question and it sort of prevented me from interneting unless i was in front of my desktop.
Anyway, I also decided to write down some thoughts and impressions I'm getting as the year closes up. I'll probably end up sharing those in January, so brace yourselves for a lengthy write-up. :D
I've been slacking in December but I passed the 365 mark early this week. It's been a ridiculous year of movies and I feel that I've learned a great deal of about horror cinema and enjoyed the majority of it. I don't think i'll be doing the same thing next year as I ended up not watching other types of movies that I wanted to watch in favor of some crappy horror movie just to get my numbers up.:2thumbs:
Congrats Strt. I just showed my girlfriend this and we are both super impressed. I think you just made me want to do this again. After confirming with my girlfriend, we are both going to start tomorrow and try for 365 movies. My last go was 276 films, so I was close, but I am going to try to push it to the limit. After doing just my 276 I watched a lot of great films and it was a good experience to really go head first into the genre I loved so much. I feel like I have an encyclopedia in my head because, oddly enough, I remember most of which I watched.
Again, congrats strt, you may have taken the idea from me, but this time I'm retaking the idea from you haha
DM, you know I've always attributed you with the origins of this venture. Also, you've been one of the most supportive members so I say cudos to you brother! I want you to surpass me, and take it to the next level. I'm still working on my "thoughts" on topics from what I've learned, but it all would have been for nothing if it wasn't for you brother! Go my friend! Not only to beat me, but to surpass me in the world of horror!!:2thumbs:
