Saw this twice now and have to rave about it! This is like John Wick in that I am surprised by this movie with how well it is made and how fucking violent it is!
The action is constant and brutal. If you want to see a sort of revenge tale about a tattoo artist duking it out with a violent nazi-biker gang, yup this is for you!
I think this is Gibson's best role in years...perhaps ever and yes that is even factoring in Riggs.
This is hard R action filming at its finest!

Good movie! Mel did a great job as a grizzled old veteran of violence and the movie was pretty well paced with some solid action. There were some nice tense scenes thrown in along with a lot of interesting characters, including Gibson himself. Probably his best since Get the Gringo, which is also similar in style. A solid 7/10 from me, it's definitely worth checking out, especially if you like violent on-the-run films and if you enjoyed Get the Gringo

Agreed. Gibson grizzled and gruff easily puts forth the vibe of a no nonsense heavy hitter.
The daughter though was kind of annoying and a little too naive at times for my taste, but still effective enough overall. I get the sense that she often treated the whole thing as one big daddy/daughter day-out road trip replete with tears and tension. For me it was hard to overlook her seemingly inability and/or unwillingness to completely grasp the gravity of the situation at hand. I'm willing to chalk up this naivety though to her royal Bel-Air upbringing and not as a lapse in writing.
Definitely worth a watch. Decent amount of action and tension, and yet another fairly solid Gibson role.

Yeah agreed about the daughter, but it seemed to fit her character, so it didn't bother me too much. That Sicario :scared:
