They have no real plans in place or anyone guiding the Universe so it fits into a cohesive whole. Their vision keeps changing making it hard for the writers. There isn't a figure head leaning on them. Insiders are saying there is a lot of turmoil behind the scenes among different people at Warner Brothers

I don't care about a cohesive universe. What Marvel has done in in their movies is good and bad. Good for the comic book feel of character interaction; bad for all the movies being nearly indistinguishable from one another. I just want some kick ass DC Comics movies. If Suicide Squad 3 doesn't match Green Lantern 5's continuity, fuck it. Just make a good goddamn movie.

Maybe it would be better trying not to copy Marvel, but DC wants to try and compete with them. It could hurt them if they can't pull it off when they could be going in the opposite direction. I want Suicide Squad to be good to because it could be awesomeQuote:

Well surprise, surprise. It's been obvious from day one that they are tapping in the dark. The only reason their universe is happening and expanding so rapidly is because of Marvel. If Marvel didn't catch lightning in a bottle with Avengers and everything preceding it, BvS would still be a Man of Steel sequel Suicide Squad would have zero to none chances of happening(at least not in the near future) and the same goes for the rest of the DC characters. They realize they are sitting on gold mine they just have no fucking idea how to access it.
I agree with you, voodoo, and what's funny to me is DC/Warner Bros did a damn fine job of creating a cohesive universe before Marvel did it with the Avengers.. It was the DC Animated Universe.. I'm still not sure why they decided to break that up, as it made for excellent animated movies and fun tv series. :shrugs:
Honestly though, DC/WB needs to get their shit together on this, if they don't want to look even more like some Johnny-Come-Lately's trying to copy Marvel.. They need to pick someone to be the King of the Kingdom behind the scenes, someone creative, with ambition and most importantly a VISION of where it's all going. Marvel started off with a plan, they had a blueprint from the beginning, and they are following that schematic, everyone is on-board and they've made (and are still making) cinematic history... There has NEVER been a project as ambitious as the Marvel cinematic universe.. If anyone can think of one that happened before, that is the size and scope of it, please feel free to correct me.
DC owns the small screens. That much is a fact. The animated universe and now the Flash/Arrowverse. They be killing it son!
Buuuut when it comes to the big screen, that's Marvel playground.
What's funny is unless Snyder pulls something awesome out of his ass, they are going to be taking a backseat for Marvel to take their turns. JL's big bad will either be Darkseid or Brainiac. Marvel already called dibs on their versions of those characters. Thanos' Infinity quest is just around the corner(and lets not forget the Immortal Egyptian mutant, En Sabah Nur is also coming up soon) and Age of Ultron is currently tearing the box office a new one.
They have some potential hard hitters for the box office run, but those are big big if. BvS will print money that much is a given, because it's DC's #1 and #2 guys, Skwad could go either way, Leto Joker will ultimately be the make or break part of that movie. WW, Aquaman, Flash solo adventures are the biggest question marks. If they suck in BvS no amount of script re writing will save them. The biggest wild card will be Shazam, they hit the nail right on the head with casting Rock as Black Adam, but for some reason they want to sit on the project until 2019, I guess they think Rock will eventually literally turn into the Hulk or something. Ultimately I think DC verse is going to be one fabulous hot mess.
