Piranha 3D, entertaining and I hadn't watched a 3D movie in more years than I'll own up to. Jerry O'Connell played a fun part.

100% Disagree....I was brought up on horror films. Let the kid get an adrenaline rush while he can...because by the age 12 he will become immune to a good scare...it is all in the type of family. I know my wife is way against our kid watching horror at a young age if and when we have a kid. I'll sneak them down of course for a late night viewing of a good horror flick!(like my mom did with me!)
