Mortal Kombat Remake or Reboot

I find some info that they are actually to this day making a new remake or reboot of the 1995 movie "Mortal Kombat". Rumors said that Christopher Lambert from Highlanders is supposed to be playing as Lord Rayden but no cast and plot has be added. :greetings:

zLambert was Raiden in the first one. Then they got the guy who is Dexter's dad to be raiden in the second. Bet this goes nowhere.:2far:

Should be a reboot. The 1995 movie was fun, but not very close to the game. Hopefully this will be more hardcore and violent.

Annilahtion is one of the only movies I've ever walked out of the theatre on.

I liked the 1st Mortal Kombat but Annihilation should have stuck with the original cast:dsp:

I liked the first film but not the second one. I wouldn't mind seeing a remake to this actually.

Actually... since Street Fighter, Mario, Dead or Alive, BloodRayne, Double Dragon, House of the Dead, Alone In The Dark, Doom, Hitman, Max Payne, and a bunch of other video games films are so CRAPPY I bet that 1995 Mortal Kombat film doesn't seem so bad now does it!

If anything Mortal Kombat is the best video game to film yet.

Double Dragon and Super Mario Bros. kicked ass.

I welcome a bloodier more violent version otherwise screw it.

At least Raiden will be worth watching again, after Annihilation.
I enjoy the first one to this day, and wouldnt mind more of some kind, but I don't expect much

Lambert sucked as Raiden. I wouldn't have cared or noticed if he would have had one voice through the movie.

I hope the next one (if any) puts up a more consistent performance.

if this is made, they need to have that Kabal character in it. He was always my favorite...with his gas mask thingy and hook swords.

Its been my dream to make a MK movie all out R rated bloodfest with some badass martial arts choreography by Woo-ping Yuen. with maybe a couple of stars to draw in a crowd and then cast some unknown badass martial artists. :(
