Was thinking bout another movie I've seen or might been a book I read not really sure but I know the thing started in a house the whole family has been brutally murdered and the cops find a little girl bout 7 hiding so they try to get her story, and the whole thing is basically through her eyes of all that happened and when they finally let her go home to her aunt or uncle it ends up being her the whole time that committed the murders.
So many films that have that same basic plot.
