It's cool that they are giving access to an uncut version. Call me old fashioned but if I am paying $14.99 I'd like a hard copy not just a digital.

STILL havnt got round to watching this yet which is very unlike me. FUCK IT!!! Tonights the night! Hope its as good as ive read about?
I agree with Prime, if you going to pay good money you better be getting the whole movie.
I watched A serbian film a few days ago, the edited version BUT have just finished watching the uncut one 5 mins ago. SHIT MAN!!!! ..... Highly disturbing, especialy the two infomous scenes and being a father myself i had to completly lower the volume on my headphones so i didnt hear the crys that i will probably never forget!!! The subject matter, no matter how horrific, doesnt change the fact that its actually a good movie and not what i expected at all. I feel kinda dirty now so im off for a shower. Wether or not ill see it again now remains to be seen but ....... I think ill leave it.
I'm glad I watched this film before all the talk and hype hit the message boards and internet. I have a uncut screener copy so I saw every filthy scene unaware it was coming.
For me this was a highly disturbing movie. It stayed with me for a few days and one scene had me saying out loud..this is so wrong, I shouldn't be looking at this..
All in all this is a beautiful looking film. No other film has gave me the feelings this one has. I liked how it made me feel. I never thought I'd come to this point, for I can watch just about anything.
If you go to Brad Jones site (Cinema Snob) you can find his review. It's really interesting to see his reaction cause it's truly a guy admitting he's gone too far with what he's watched. And he's not some prude when it comes to violence, he's a hella exploitation guy, his favorite film is Caligula, he's watche such legends like Blood Sucking Freaks, Pieces, Cannibal Holocaust, Salo and some of the most craziest porno's ever made (He watched ET the Porno). And if anything, in his review of Human Centipede, he thought it was a dark comedy and found it funny. For him to have watched all these films and liking some of them, and then watch Serbian Film and declare it the film that went to far is a major statement.
This still isn't surprising to me though. Exposure and enjoyment of extreme exploitation cinema isn't necessarily a plus or even a desirable trait in someone regarding a film like ASF. It isn't one of those, however camp and over-the-top some of the situations can be interpreted.
Real lesbian porno is nothing like watching Emmanuelle in Bangkok or any of the completely mechanical and phony sCinemax after-dark Shannon Tweed type stuff. It's not a perfect analogy but my point is, they're for different audiences made by people with different motivations. Both will contain scenes of women bumping donuts and flicking each other beans but that hardly makes them comparable experiences.
Brad Jones found his limit. Now he can use that information going forward.
watched it last night. I thought it was solid. Great camera work, music was creepy when it had to be. Gore was ok but the 2 scenes (i watched the uncut version) disturbed me. I was like you motherfucker, you need to be killed for this shit. Defo to watch atleast once
It was a bit gross.
Holy shit!!
A film that lead to the extreme the degradation of values, and wake up in my intense feelings. I really liked.
Finally got around to checking this film out (caught the uncut version) and it was actually better than I expected. I normally don't watch these types of extreme flicks anymore (used to a lot when I was younger) but I figured I'd give this a look anyway. The cinematography was well done and the music was surprisingly really good and fit the overall tone of the movie. The story was interesting as well, which is a nice change considering extreme films like these don't normally offer much story.
Really dug the lead guy and the crazy expressions he would make, but didn't like any of the other characters. As far as the rest of the flick goes, it seemed to me like the director was pushing boundaries, just to push boundaries, and I felt that a bit unnecessary. It was also incredibly predictable, even down to the ending (for me anyway). Overall I'd give it a 6/10. It wasn't a bad film, but it wasn't a very good one either. At least not to me.
:yfreaked:
I felt the opposite. I didn't think he was putting things out there to shock or push to see how far he go. Everything fell together perfectly.
Seemed like he was to me, especially the newborn scene, like WTF :dsp:
I always loved the first half of this and found the plot to be incredibly interesting, but it just totally fell apart in the second half. I agree with Mr. FrighT MasteR that it just seemed like it was trying to be fucked up just for the sake of being fucked up.
First half: 8/10
Second half: 2/10
Overall: 5/10
Wow, just finished watching this. If not for these forums I likely would have remained blissfully unaware of this one, especially with its very generic title. But i just had to watch thanks to the intriguing comments in this post. Pretty vile flick, gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "torture porn". I do agree though, the cinematography and soundtrack were quite good. I'd say it was good overall although i'm not sure if this is repeat viewing material =p Could have done without the newborn scene personally, I felt it took away from the film rather than add anything meaningful. Everything else more or less fit the story.
I felt that in this film everything that happened was done for a reason and not for base shock value. The whole look of the film as well as the soundtrack was very pleasing. I liked this movie a lot.
Yes, it was done for a reason, to shock people :ahheh:
