:starefreak: I REALLY hope this NEVER happens, it has been FAR too long for any chance of this movie to have a decent sequel. This better not happen, just no.
So the rumours are true. I don't get it, why ????? Well actually i do get it ... money. It doesn't matter if it sucks if it brings them in money. Indy 4 sucked and it made 316 million dollars. But i don't see this being a good sequel after 26 years since the original. Bad idea.
A producer commisioned a writer to to develop a script. This isn't a solid deal yet.
I'm not with the majority on the original. Tried sitting through it. couldn't make it.
Blade Runner is one of my favorite films.
Please no. Blade Runner is so damn good just leave it alone no way could a sequel work.Wouldn't be surprised if remake talks arised.
Ridley Scott just got the definitive edition out, so it's not like it's been so long. It's rereleased a lot. That said, no. There is no reason for another. Androids don't dream of electric sheep sequels.

Ridley Scott has announced that his company, RSA Films, will be working on 5-10 short films that be set in the Blade Runner universe. None of the original characters will be in the films but they will expand on the original film's themes.
More details as we get them
:hmmm:
Love the universe and nowhere did it say 'sequel', 'remake', 're-imagining' or anything of the sort. I'd call that a win for fans.
Maybe look at the old adventure game for something to work with?
Since its no remake or direct sequal, I don't hate this.
Sweet! I like the sound of this, I LOVE Blade Runner and the feel it's universe had.
So they are discarding Philip K. Dicks body of work and wrinting their own shit in his universe? F**k that shit:negative:
Blade runner wasn't too faithful to Dick's novel anyways.
True but Hollywood loves to butcher his work. To simply take his world and make up their own shit is just another slap in the face to the man. Minority Report, Total Recall, Blade Runner, take your pick all of them had NOTHING to do with the original stories. The only one that was close to the book was A Scanner Darkly. I love PKD's books and it sucks that people in the industry don't get him and want to rewrite everything they touch. They are weak, bland people who can't create anything on their own so they have to fuck with other people's work. And fuck Ridley Scott
Good news.
eh i never made it through blade runner, fell asleep 3 times...maybe i'll give it another shot some day
I thought it was gonna be one huge budget sequel, F these puny little shortz
