That is looking kind of fun.
Edit: William Malone films are considerably more fun to see in the theater than on video. The visuals are fun either way, but the sensory overload element is missing on a television set. If this isn't DTV, I'll probably miss out on the best experience.
I didn't know it was him until after posting the original one-liner. The trailer was creeping me out just watching with headphones on.
Jeffrey Combs looks to be one of Malone's usual suspects: House on Haunted Hill, FearDotCom, Fair Haired Child on Masters of Horror. Pretty much look for Malone on IMDB and click on each project: Combs is very frequently present.
None of this raised or lowered my expectations of the movie as a whole. It does redefine them a little.
Well I'm definitely interested. With such a good concept it leaves the door wide open to create a surrealistic nightmare and Malone isn't bad with creating visually interesting characters. The problem is though he doesn't seem to know how to handle them or do anything to make a good movie.
I'll check it out and probably will end up liking it since I expect it to be nothing but a failure, just like all of Malone's previous work.
looks cool
There are three fan reviews for this now at IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0922547/
Some minor spoilers so be careful. However, all three seem to be very positive.
I actually saw this film at Screamfest last Oct. it was pretty awesome. It was sort of like a mix between a surrealist painting and a blood and guts horror film. The dream sequences had some pretty crazy stuff going on in them. Anyway, I would recommend checking it out when it comes out.
Looking forward to this. Malone's fear dot com was pretty shitty, but I really dug his house on haunted hill remake.
Sean Young is in this, she's still smokin hot. She gets thrown off a roof too, she talks about it in a video on youtube.
That thing with the swirly eyes scared the shit out of me. I wanna see this!
Visually it looks fuckin stunning!
