Awesome Kick. Now go watch The Man From Nowhere.
One of the most gratifying endings I have seen in a film
Just got done watching it and I must say this is easily one of my favorite films. It had fantastic gore, great story, solid acting and the ending was amazing. Fantastic movie.
We watched it today. It without a doubt held up to all the hype it has been given.
:metalbang:
Wow.......
This is one beautiful, brutal, stylish, revenge flick. Great acting, some of the most memorable and classic scenes in a movie, I especially liked the permanent smiley face scene.
The direction is what makes this stand out the most. I like the arthouse feel to it, and the action sequences are well staged and depicted, in a realistic fashion. The lightening and cinematography are awesome, a scene in the hallway of the house is a good example of what I'm talking about. The movie is very blood, and the acting is superb, I wonder where this was in G.I. Joe from out lead?
The only flaw that I have with the movie is the pace...it was too pace staking, but for an arthouse film, it moved fast enough.
The reason I like this film so much is because it's brutal, but you don't want to turn your head because of it's beauty.....it's been a long time since a film like this has come along (hanna, but I don't think it's this brutal).
I know this is high, but I'm a fan of films that can evoke brutality through art, so I give this one a 9/10. Yes it's high, and I hate the pacing, but the ending, story, and the films values are well worth it.
:2thumbs:

:metalbang:
Oooooooops busted
:stare2: Perhaps not - but it's still a great movie.
Um sir......this is pretty much arthouse. The way it uses it's score, atmosphere, story, and cinematography is pretty much art house like.
If you go on rottentomatoes it will tell you that it is arthouse and international, as well as on google. You should do some research before you start making assumptions.....anyone can see this is arthouse, are something in the vein on arthouse, from a mile away.
All I know is that this was a beautiful and brutal film.
I know that most arthouse films are kinda boring like, which is why this one caught me by surprise, but I don't watch them much.......
I also think I'm going to change my rating from a 9/10 to a 10/10........I really love this flick. I hope they don't remake it.
Your really not this dumb right? Rottentomatoes lists Arthouse and International as a category... much like Sci-Fi/Fantasy.... Terminator is a Sci-fi movie, but not a fantasy. This movie fits under international, this movie is not arthouse... nowhere near arthouse... and I don't need a website (that you viewed in error) to tell me that, I can use my Tv/Film degree...
