Uhh... why don't you see it for yourself before you listen to the opinions of others. The CG isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, it's not that great either... it's barely distracting and if watched in B&W it's not that bad at all. And an unnecessary ending... that's barely an argument.
just watched it last night and I think you should put it back onto your netflix list Chief. The CGI is terrible, yes, but there is so much else going on in the movie that I didnt have time to focus on how bad it was. Its definately a good movie with a great story that is worth a watch at least once. As for the ending, i liked it, and you should decide for yourself whether you do or not.
CGI is not without merit. Not flawless granted, but definately above a SciFi channel original in quality. Don't write it off on that alone. What happens to the religious nut makes the movie worth the time to me. *shrug*
The ending... is a dice roll. Some will like it, some will hate it, and likely many more will walk away with a "WTF" reaction. It is a pitty that it may have been ruined for some folks by comments in this thread not being properly **spoiler**, but big deal.
If you never want to watch this film cause someone said what happens at the end... your loss. Even with the ending told, this film is no where near the bottom of the "worst films to waste an evening on" list. :movies:
Ruining the ending of a movie = pretty assholish in my book.
Thomas Jane probably start drinking after he turned down Punisher II for this piece of crap. Got pull over on St. Pattys day for DUI.
Uhm, this movie got some great reviews. I don't think The Punisher did.
Thomas Jane = LOVE.
Yeah I'm sure Thomas Jane is really kicking himself over choosing a relatively thoughtful horror film over yet another turd of a comic book movie.
elder member deadite just got called a noob
Here's one for you... whats worse? Dead's spoiler or the several people who quoted it? Its a thinker.
The CG isn't that bad, but then again I'm tolerant of old Doctor Who FX. King explains in SKeleton crew he set out to make a drive in fare B story, the budget for the film was fairly low. Low Budget monster movies have crappy FX, what's new???
just out of curiosity, what was the book ending?
Avoiding all spoilers in this thread...I really want to see this but there's a very long wait on Netflix of course so it'll probably be about a frickin' month or two before I see it.
